There have been winners and losers for eons. Right now the Democrats are the losers. Well, maybe not really "the losers"...maybe just on the losing side.
Knock off the sackcloth and ashes and wailing and gnashing of teeth. Things can get better and YOU CAN MAKE THEM BETTER!
Use your head. Do something. Anything!
Start a young Dem Club at your local school or neighborhood centre, or in your basement if you have to.
Have some tracts printed up that tell the goals and objectives of Democrats. Make the tract short and atttractive and easy to read and most of all---hand them out to everyone you see---at the gas station, at the store, wherever! Put your phone number on them if you sense a recipient might really want some political advise.
Volunteer at the nursing home Veteran's Hospital or animal shelter and when someone asks you why you got into volunteering, give them the JFK speech (John F. Kennedy's "Ask not what your country can do for you.......").
Shut your piehole at work with the gossip and criticism! Just be downright nicer, and people will wonder what's the difference between you and every other slug at work AND WHEN THEY ASK YOU, TELL THEM YOU WANT TO BE POSITIVE...NOT NEGATIVE. Give them a reason to listen to what you have to say.
Cut down on your swear words! This might sound naive or babyish, but just try to do it. Sometimes people don't listen when the first sentence out of your mouth sounds like it was scooped out of the gutter.
Quit blaming everyone for the loss. OK, it's a loss. So, what. It can be a win next time. There's four years and that's a lot of time to change an image, care for people, be a positive influence.
Even if you don't influence one single person in four years (which I personally think is impossible because you influence folks day after day without even knowing it), you will become a better, stronger person...someone that others will look to in times of crises or difficulty.
I don't post here a lot and I'm not a Freeper and I don't want to offend anyone, but these thoughts were on my heart and I needed to tell you.
