Kerry Showed "Humorless Intensity", Strugged To Be " Likable and Warm"
Kerry the candidate and his campaign had had a multitude of problems.

He demonstrated a humorless intensity, and struggled to come across as likable and warm. On the stump, he was uneven, often providing his audiences with elaborate policy prescriptions that gave little opportunity for applause.

So caught up was he in the nuance of his ideas that Kerry often gave ammunition to his opponent, contradicting himself as he thought aloud.

"I actually voted for the $87 billion before I voted against it," Kerry said last spring as he tried to explain why he had opposed a supplemental spending bill to fund U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Caught on tape, that one sentence allowed Bush to nail Kerry as an unprincipled flip-flopper who would say anything to get elected, even if untrue.

7. Yes, but for whatever reason that didn't translate
I guess it's called charisma, or lack thereof. I had 19 people watching debates in my home and it was split 50/50 on whether they liked Kerry personally, even when the majority picked him as winner of all three debates.

Our strategic choice of Kerry as best able to defeat Bush focused too much on 35 years ago, and not September thru early November, when Americans would judge John Kerry not strictly on ability and issues, but whether they wanted him in their living room for four years.

6. You know, it is really sad that millions and millions of dollars are spent
Edited on Thu Nov-04-04 07:11 PM by Marianne
on a campaign when people are without health care, when people are suffering in other parts of the world, when we have children in poverty in this country and when we have an education system that is
paultry.

The pandering that goes on within a campaign is almost as obscene.

8. Okay, it's time for "Let's Bash the Loser" articles. Grand.
If he'd won, they'd be singing praises for the very same traits.

9. Oh to HELL with that fucking shit.....
I'm so GOD DAMN sick of those articles about Democrats and whether their warm, fuzzy and likable or not. The EXACT same shit was pulled on Gore from day one. Meanwhile a smirking, ignorant piece of shit like George Bush gets a media pass.

Why didn't yahoo do a story about Bush and his lies that GOT US to the point where Kerry even had to vote to fund an illegal invasion??

FUCK YOU YAHOO,FUCK YOU BUSH....
