Reframing the debate: It isn't about gays
Until we can teach greater tolerance to society, we are better off not pushing specific agenda items. Let's face it, it isn't about gay marriage in the first place, it is whether or not we want the government to regulate personal choices. I say, Deregulate Marriage. If it is good for industry, it is good for the individual. Any attempts to limit freedom, limit choice, limit rights are attempts to regulate the individual. Stop government regulation of individual rights.

Marriage is a contract between two people based on love. Stop government regulation of love. Or in the case of those 11 states... Deregulate Love.

There is a slipperly slope here regarding things like polygamy/bigamy, but I think it can be safely navigated.

Essentially, stop talking about gay marriage vs. hetero marriage (because they are the effing thing) and start talking about unnecessary government regulation of individuals lives.
