SHIT!!!! Did any of you guys hear that!!!!
I'm was listening to AirAmerica news and they had a segment about a press conference Bush did. Apparently, he chastised a reporter for not obeying the "one question rule". Bush said that the reporter obviously hadn't "listened to the will of the people". So, apparently "the people" don't want reporters asking the president more than one question. When did THAT come up for a vote?!

13. More press conferences.
Yeah, that'll happen. We should place bets on just how many press conferences he will give in the next four years. How many did he give during his first term? The number during his second term will probably be even lower.

36. I got this from an AP report on the changes that * will make...
"The president seemed relaxed as he took questions, the uncertainty of a hardfought campaign behind him. He joked with reporters at several points and asked for a show of hands on how many of them would stay in their jobs while he remained in his."

This sounds like he's planning to get rid of the reporters that cast him in a bad light? Or do I need a tinfoil break?

The egos of the press are so inflated and they are only afraid of loosing access to monkey boy so they won't get a spot on their stations. Let Idiot talk to Hannity and the likes of him.

It was just a bit jarring hearing him in that mode so soon after the election. I thought he'd at least pretend to be "humble" for a week or so before putting the asshat back on. I guess it was jarring also because he hasn't given a press conference in a while.

26. Yep, the REAL GW Bush emerges again
He had to conceal his Monster Inner Self in his first term (although it slipped through on a number of occasions) so as to not scare the American Sheeple.

Now that he has won reelection he revels in showing his Belligerent Monster Self to America and the world. It's his middle finger to all his enemies, critics and detractors throughout the world which accounts for about 95% of the world population.

I first noticed Shrub's belligerent inner self late in the 2000 election when he was giving a campaign speech. As he was speaking, he suddenly flashed a wicked face that bespoke of an uncontrolled anger. It put a chill right down my spine. I knew then that the guy was nuts and his handlers' main job was to help Shrub conceal his true self by conjuring up a fake Humble Act.

Now, he is laughing at the press right in their faces. It's reminds me of Agent Smith in the Matrix 3 movie when he siphons off the power of the Oracle and starts laughing Madly with all his new found powers.

Yes, the very fact that Shrub could not wait to show his outward hostile nature to the press right after the election, is a very clear indication that his 2nd term, unrestrained by another election, is going to be pure hell.

But in the end, this Creep is going down hard because left to his own devices, without a poppy life line he always self-destructs as he has throughout his life.

His belligerence and anger will only lead to many more disasters and build up a tremendous counter sentiment in the country that's going to haunt the republican party in the next election. Then the fun begins.

32. He horrified me the very first time I ever heard him speak.
It was at the very beginning of his candidacy when a reporter asked him if he new the name of the Pakistani president and Bush replied snidely, "No, do you".

I was anti-Anti-ANTI-Bush from that very moment.

41. "Will of the People" OR "Triumph of the Will"?
http://www.buzzflash.com/premiums/04/10/pre04057.html

"Triumph of the Will" Special Edition of the 1934 Nazi Propaganda Documentary (DVD)

"Triumph of the Will," a movie made in 1934 by the legendary Leni Riefenstahl (who died in September 2003 at the age of 101), documents the 1934 Nuremberg rallies organized by Hitler's Nazis, and won gold medals for filmmaking in Venice in 1935 and in Paris in 1937. The Nazis required that the full or a truncated version of it be played before every other movie in theatres all across Germany, a requirement that stood until the Third Reich fell.

This film is important -- vital -- to see and understand for several reasons, even aside from the cinematic genius of its filmmaker. (There is an excellent biographical profile of her at http://www.leni-riefenstahl.de/eng/bio.html. The last scene of the movie, including its music, was eerily echoed in the end of George Lucas’ first Star Wars movie, and other filmmakers over the years have pointed to "Will" as a seminal influence. Although she became one of the world’s most famous photographers –- her last book published just last year –- she never made another movie, as her reputation was so damaged by her association, at the age of 32, with Hitler in making this movie.)

The first non-cinematic reason this movie is still important 70 years after its creation is that it helps Americans demystify the rise of Hitler and helps us understand that the German people of that era were neither cartoon characters nor incarnations of evil, but real and average people swept up in a nationalist hysteria. Keep in mind that this movie was made just a year after the nation's most famous building had been burned in a "terrorist attack" that Hitler blamed first on communists and later on Jews, and he used the attack on the German Parliament Building to consolidate his rise to power. And that this movie was a very large part of the barrage of propaganda Germans absorbed in the 1930s (when you see the film, this realization will take on added significance).

Read the entire review of this film here: http://www.buzzflash.com/hartmann/04/10/har04006.html

47. I doubt it very much. The only thing keeping a lid on his insanity
was his fear of losing the election. Now that he thinks he's got a "mandate", the extra power he believes is his will end up driving him over the edge.

A weak little man with a massive ego is very easy to destroy. The reason I have calmed down so much from yesterday is because it is becoming very apparent to me that he's going to hang himself with his own rope. The sooner the better.
