Bush did better in just about EVERY state than he did in '00. The states where we won - the margins were smaller. NY, NJ, IL, CT, CA ..And our "strongest" swing states - MI, PA...All within a small margin.

We must face it. After 9/11 people affiliate themselves more as republicans and/or conservatism. It's not just in terms of foreign policy. It's in terms of everything. Religious fanaticism basically...The "war of civilizations" may be turning itself into a self fulfilling prophecy.

We can yell at the red states all we want but the people of states like NJ blew it too. The margin there was about HALF of what we got last time. Hell, I live in a "blue" state (MI) but the margin was about 2% less than '00.
