Is it possible to now allow this election to affect me at all?
I think I may try. If I get a tax cut (yeah right), I will give it to charity. If my taxes are raised, I will evade. I will guard my brother from a draft with force if nessessary. The job thing will be tough, but if I lose my job, then I will dedicate my free time to those that could use it for good purposes.

Bush is not my president.

Do you think I can do it?

1. You still have to breathe
... and if the GOP gets their way, what you're breathing in four years will be significantly less healthy than the air in your lungs now. This is why it's more important than ever to back environmental groups that can use courts and lawsuits to stop the Bush freaks and their buddies from achieving their goals (at least until the GOP Congress makes it illegal to do so).

3. I'm going to try to use it as a positive
Somehow. I gained over 20 pounds during this campaign, sitting at my computer making Excel estimates and sampling political websites and online newspapers. That's coming off pronto. Back to the gym and golf course and anything normal. Televised sports. Reassociate with old friends. I can't imagine watching a political show. I'll even turn the TV off at night while switched to TV Land, or something that insures I won't see Bush's despicable mug when I flip it on in the morning.
