2. There's plenty of blame to go around.
Ralph's god-damnned ego didn't help any, though.

4. The most coverage Nader got was
right here on DU.

And no, the votes he got this time would not have gone to Kerry. Kerry already GOT the people like me who prefer their own party or candidate, but who felt this was an emergency.

6. Once again...
Pretending that Nader didn't have an effect on Kerry's numbers.

7. Reread post 4. You are thinking that Nader's votes translate to
lost Kerry votes, but that is like the Pope lamenting about all the Baptists who won't come to mass.

8. BULLSHIT!
If I hear from you people one more time about how "there's no difference between the parties", I swear to Christ I'm not gonna be responsible for my actions! Shouldn't the past four years have shown just exactly what a tremendous, stark difference there really is? And if for some reason they haven't, just you wait until the next four years, they'll make this past term seem like a picnic with Grandma since there'll be no threat of election hanging over them and they'll be even more emboldened. There is absolutely NO CHANCE of any third-party candidate winning, and when you vote for one you're voting for the Republican or Dem winner, WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO UNDERSTAND THAT! ARRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9. What makes you think they don't understand that? Of course they

know they can't win at the federal level.

But to them it's a choice of death by a thousand cuts or a slash of the throat.

What a choice!

10. And, my sincere congratulations to the DLC and John Kerry.
For being able to beat an incoherent ignoramous whose disastrous policies are leading the country to ruin.

Yeah, it's all Ralph's fault. Why not blame it on the weather?

11. 32,000 votes wouldn't have shifted Florida to Kerry
Nader had no impact on this election, though he certainly did in 2000.

13. Nader == non-factor
In my own state (MN), where he got over 5% in 2000, he barely scraped together 1% this year. And like it has since 1976, MN went Democratic. Again.

If Nader actually WERE a factor, it would be in a state like mine, where he had huge support in 2000. But that didn't materialize.

Blame whoever you want, but Nader was NOT a factor this year.

If you want to place blame, visit www.gregpalast.com and read some of his articles on the purge lists in CO, OH, FL and NV.

And then get fighting mad.

14. Nader hasn't done a goddamn thing to fight * in the last 4 years...
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 06:07 PM by rezmutt
If he cares about his country so much, where the hell has he been the past 4 years, not counting the time spent in his ego-tripping, election-spoining runs at the presidency?

Sorry, but Ralph is part of the problem.

16. What'd you go to school in East St. Louise?
Nader wasn't a speck on a gnats ass in this election! The DLC fucked themselves....BY THEMSELVES. If every Nader vote in the country were somehow plopped into the DLC column it wouldn't have made a shitting bit of difference!!!

Did you not pass 3rd grade math?
