How many people in here want to change the first primary state?
I think that it is time to get some other state to be the first. Iowa is the reason we are stuck with this mess, no more public caucuses. Maybe if we had a blue state as the first one we would have better candidates.

1. Absolutely. I and NH are notorious for picking losers. What more will
it take for us before we get the message. They absolutely cannot be in the position to chose our nominee.

7. Good idea - that way the candidates will have spent a lot of time there.
The people in the state will be totally familiar with them and have built a bond with the candidates.

14. We need a moderate state with a ethnically diverse population..
WA would be no different from IA or NH.

5. I do! I do!
And while we're at it, let's spread the primary season out like it used to be. This front-end loading sucks!

8. I'd like to see all of the primaries to happen on the same day
It would also be nice if we could do away with caucuses since most people don't know how or want to participate in those.

13. Ah yes...blame Iowa. Why not?
Every other state had their own primaries. Why should we blame Iowa when the people in all the other states just vote for whoever won here? They could have picked somebody else in the primaries. They didn't. Iowa isn't worth that many delegates. All the other states were free to pick whoever they wanted.
