This election is proof Rudy Will not be GOP nominee in '08
in 2008. The core of the Republican party and the activists will not allow a man who openly supports abortion rights and civil unions and carried on a very open affair with another woman while he was married to be the GOP nominee. They are active in the party and he hasn't got a chance. My guess is he will challenge Hillary in 2006.
The guy we have to fear in 2008 is Chuck Hagel of Nebraska. He is interested in running and while conservative he has some of that McCain independence in him. He will probably balance his ticket with some southerner.
