4. The birthplace of the Republican party has become the most liberal state
CA, NY, and MA all have Republican governors. Illinois doesn't fall for that shit.

8. Good name but I would tweak it just
a little to "Democracyland." Didn't ILL go real big for Kerry? I think I remember the % of votes being outstanding.

9. And if we dump Judy Baar Topinka's ass in 2 years, we'll control it ALL.
There's going to be a nasty fight in the Illinois GOP over Alan Keyes and the direction of the party. I personally hope they destroy each other.

10. No shallow margins of victories for Democrats in Illinois.
We cleaned their clock in the presidential race, the senate race, and for fun, took out a long-standing member of the GOP House, Phil Crane. Look out Denny Hastert and Henry Hyde, your days are numbered.

11. It wasn't always a good Dem place.
Illinois had a long run of GOP Governors and GOP controlled house. Slowly, but surely, the state has increased the Democratic party and gained control of offices. Anybody moving to Illinois should probably look hard at what AREA they move to--some places are still pretty Republican, in spite of our current state image of liberalism.
