What's wrong with liberalism?

The election night execution in Texas was symbolic of the death of liberalism. The conservative party laughed with glee as they administered the lethal injection.

What does this really mean to the Democratic Party and to liberalism?

The rest of the story is in California, "the left coast." Three propositions on the ballet speak to the surrender of liberalism.

1) Californians voted NO on Prop 66, "3 Strikes Limits," proving that their vote in the 90s was no accident: they believe 25 years to life for a 3rd felony even if non-violent is justice.

2) Californians voted YES on Prop 69, "DNA Samples." This law will force anyone arrested for a felony, even if not convicted, to submit to a DNA test.

3) Prop 71, "Stem Cell Research" passed easily. There is humanitarian appeal in this proposition that hides its dark side.

Though Prop 71 on the surface seems unrelated to the first two, they are all the fruits of seeds planted during a political/sociological movement that ravaged the United States in the early 1900s.

The Progressives along with radical racists and conservatives united under the flag of eugenics, now renamed "genetics" and slyly included in any stem cell research. The atrocities of Hitler put the eugenics movement underground, but it never died and it is alive and well now in American politics. Both modern day progressives and conservatives support it for their own reasons, as they did in the early 1900s. This is what killed liberalism.

Eugenics cares not about nurturing, the environment or circumstances. These values almost define liberalism, but liberalism abandoned them to the patriarchal idea of a punitive society that cares not about any of these valuable ideals necessary to a civilized society.

Make no mistake, the conservative "strict father model, assumes that the world is dangerous and difficult and that children are born bad and must be made good" is another way of saying that those who cannot be converted and "saved" should be removed from the gene pool - either through execution or life long prison terms. Society is never responsible in any sense. Too many progressive surrendered to this patriarchal maxim and gave up on any rehabilitation or improvement of the environment. How long before sterilization is again legal for "feeblemindedness"? Already, Bush is going to test all citizens for mental illness.

Only murder, genocide and extermination of races and cultures, as happened under Hitler, will be dramatic enough to turn the tide. Unfortunately, this will happen right here in the United States of America as the U.S. exports these values, through propaganda or force, throughout the world. This is happening and will continue to happen with the approval of liberalism.

Because liberals are not really liberal.

That is what is wrong with liberalism.
