1. Theory

I apologize if this has been discussed before on this board but it's been bugging me lately and I don't have enough posts to start a new topic.

Anyway, as a Catholic, I have been deeply disturbed by the Church's attack on John Kerry. I wondered aloud why they would go to such lengths to take down a Catholic over the abortion issue, even though the chances of it being overturned are very slim. Plus, in my mind, Kerry is morally superior to *.

So I started thinking, why why why....and it hit me. I think.

What does the Catholic Church need to survive? A way out of the lawsuits.

What is GWB talking about more than anything else? Tort Reform.


Is it possible the Catholic Church has cut a deal to be included in a massive tort reform bill that will limit their lawsuit exposure in the sex cases?

Or am I just crazy.

Keep in mind, only the American bishops led this horrible, calculated attack on John Kerry. Rome kept very quiet and even spoke out against the war.


OK--If nothing else, I feel better getting this off my chest.
I have felt like I've been kicked in the stomach since 11pm Tuesday.

for you and what they did, or tried to do, to Kerry. It's one of the reasons that I believe all organized religions are man-made money-making jokes.

I consider myself very spiritual and I believe in God but I no longer believe that God has anything to do with organized religion.

The fundamentalist have corrupted the beauty of Jesus' words and as far as I'm concerned their hands are soaked in blood.
