That's the percentage of our holdings in each area. Yeah, it sucks and wouldn't it be great if we had higher. It will be in 2006 if we work our asses off. The Republicans did it in '94. We can do it in '06, but only if we work at it. We need to continue, not lie down. Yeah, I give us a couple of days to mourn, but after that eyes on 2006 baby. We have to keep on fighting. We are farther than we were yesterday, but let's make us closer tomorrow, day by day.

2. That's the attitude!!
Keep up the fight!

Kerry was a weak candidate. He ran on not being Bush and was too slow to respond to the attacks from the right. Why were Clark and Dean on the sidelines when they should have been the ticket?

3. What we need is a new DNC chair and an agenda that we ride to death
Say what you will about the contract for America, but it made Americans vote for repugs. It has been 10 years and we have yet to answer that. We need to answer if we want to create a landslide that would give us back Congress.

4. Time to work with the 3rd parties and cull together ideas
There were some great ideas coming out of the debate between Green, Socialist, Constitution, and Libertarian candidates that appealed to the conservative in me and to the liberal in me. But they weren't all coming from one person.

It's time for a strong candidate that stands for fiscal conservatism and socially moderate (socially liberal is too much to ask for right now...baby steps...let's lead the sheep into the waters of the truth.)

5. Two things we need:
First: Our version of 'God, gays, and guns'
ABB was close, it gave the fervor, BUT wasn't a proactive message of what we positively believe.

Second: To keep the machine we built in 2004 alive.

The coalitions, the cooperation, etc. was awesome. We can't let it die. Without gay marriage on the ballots all over, the GOP can't pull this trick again.

On NPR they worried the Dems will turn into a "circular firing squad" and we cannot let that happen.

7. I'll second that.
McAuliffe has GOT to go. He has now presided over the party for three consecutive electoral defeats. ('00, '02, '04)

8. The Republicans Control
The Media.
The Presidency.
The House.
The Senate.
The Supreme Court.
The Majority of State Governments.

EVERYTHING. Everything.

I hope that we enter a glorious era of peace and prosperity. I hope that are troops stop dying and that the terrorists put down their weapons and take up pottery or hopscotch or something. I hope there is finally peace in the Middle East and that gas prices become irrelevant because alternative, renewable fuel sources are found. I hope that unemployment sinks to nothingness and that everyone's pockets overflow with sweet, sweet cash. I hope that the rivers, lakes and streams are crystal clear, that the air is sweet to breath, that the trees are the most beautiful emerald green. I hope our kids all graduate with great educations and that our seniors are well looked after. I hope that our health care system is finally fixed and is the envy of the world. I hope the deficit vanishes and is replaced with a surplus the likes of which this world has never known. I hope we forge diplomatic ties with foreign nations that will sustain us through anything.

But I don't count on it.

And if any of those things don't happen, there is literally no one to blame but the Republicans.
