not sure what forum to post in
maybe help and sympathy! At the last minute I tried to start a conversation with the SO of a cousin of mine who I respect for his skills in one area very much (plus he IS family) but this person is so (I am afraid) typical of what we are up against it just brings it home personally finally. I am getting really depressed now. I sent a quick e-mail when I read that Kerry conceded, I wrote "congratulations - Looks like you guys have the keys to the car now. No blaming Dems or Clinton this go round! ; )"

this is what I got back: subject line "Just what I Expected"

"Hey Kali, keep on fighting for what you think is right, you will only keep loosing.
No one who voted for Bush is complaining about what he did but supporting what
he has done and what he will cotinue to do. If you liberals would work and
contribute to society instead of drain our economy, you might think Capatalism
isnt such a bad idea. Admit it Kali, you lost.
Dont bother writing back."

Maybe she is right. (losing)
(by the way I am in the exact same "line of work" as they are, both families having ranched here in Arizona for several generations)

1. Unfortunately that is how they feel.
They feel as if everyone is taking their money somehow. I have an older friend and his wife who constantly complain about welfare.
Both have been on welfare at one part in their life, but somehow they deserved it, they just cannot see beyond their own needs. You are right about one thing, they are responsible for EVERYTHING now! Keep the faith, you are right in your beliefs.

2. "Don't bother writing back"???
Just write back to him and tell him that you're awfully glad to hear that politics come before family because, silly you, you thought that family values were more important than politics. Then don't write back - EVER - until he apologizes.
