Why didn't we see this as a fuckin war!!!?
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 12:27 PM by DaveofCali
I have studied Business Administration, and I now that in business, you have to take things like a war.

Damnit, why didn't we see this as a fuckin war!!!??? Bush made a blitz of Commercials and nonconventional ads at the last minute!!! They were able to rig voter machines!!! We should have taken this as a fuckin war!!! We should've take Bush's lies about Kerry and turn them against him!!! We needed to have more spies in the Republican party! We needed to have Marketing experts to fine tune messages to have the most potent psychological impact. We shouldve had focus groups to study how to most potently target even the most brainwashed Republicans to affect them so much with our damning evidence that they would refuse to vote. We shouldve make him virtually unelectable. WE HAD THE POWER AND WE DIDN'T USE IT!!!

We didn't even put exit polling outside of precincts using Diebold machines!!!

The Republicans fight this like a WAR, why didn't we!!!???

3. That's why I wanted
a god damn General on the ticket. Instead we got a liberal senator from MA and a trial attorney who was cute. So just figure!

4. We did. THey cheated
The fact that the exit polls were so different from the results (look at the California ballot measures, for example) leads me to smell rat pie.

6. we are the mommy party....
That's why we put a one term trial attorney senator on the ticket to help when the issue is National Security.

The American people wanted a Daddy to protect them....not a mommy.

We will never learn. We needed a real warrior to go against a wartime president. That's not what we ended up with. So figure!

7. Some of us knew it was a war 12 years ago
Don't blame Kerry, blame yourself for not seeing that WE didn't pick our candidate, Karl Rove did.

By positioning Bush so far to the right so early, Rove was counting on firing up the most liberal elements of the party which would then ensure the election of a liberal candidate. He counted on the more centrist elements of the Democratic party to be marginalized at the outset.

This was politics 101, a subject that Democrats have never seemed to learn despite over 200 years of trying. When we learn not to let the other party pick our candidate for us, when we learn to ignore their efforts to divide us (as we have been divided from Southern liberals), then we will choose a candidate that will stand up for the cause of progressive, constitutional democracy.

But that dream, may be utterly over. We have turned our nation over to mystics and evangelicals whose fundamentalism makes a mockery of democracy.

9. You can't fight a war if your Commander waves the white flag.
Pathetic.

I feel used.
