Thank you Skinner, thank you DU
You all have sustained me more than you'll ever know. You all have given me hope that not all Americans are ignorant, greedy, selfish, foolish and bigotted. Unfortunately, there are many Americans who are, enough to sustain the cheating on the part of BushCo. It shouldn't even have been close enough for cheating to be successful, but it was. I am ashamed of our once great nation.

Love and peace to you all. May we all survive the next four years with some shred of dignity intact.

Today is a dark day in our history folks. A very dark day. You all are the only points of light in it.

P.S. Does anyone know how Will Pitt is doing?

1. For once, I'm going to take the rethugs advice and not apologize,
remorse or regret.

I'm certainly not sorry I supported Kerry. I'm certainly not sorry I'm a loser. I'm not going back to sleep. And I'm certainly not leaving DU. I'm ready to make the next four years as miserable for Bush as comfortable. In fact, I'm already ready to

SNAP OUT OF IT!!!

13. I agree totally, except I may need a day or so to
snap out of it.

Thank you, DU. I don't know what I would have done without you, and I need you now even more than before.

Thank you, Skinner, and everyone else here.

7. Thank You DU.

I am mad right now, and sad. And disappointed, and sick.

I don't know how I'll feel in a week or two.

I may revert back. To not watching any news, not reading any blogs.

Ignorance is bliss. And I require some bliss right now, as I see no positives.

14. Screw that.... there will be over a million people here
DU will be the base of either the Democratic Party or the birth of a new national political party. I fear the Democratic Party may have won its last presidency.

Name suggestion for the new party: Democracy United (retains the DU initials!)

It has been over 2 years since my job was sent to India and I got a lot of hope from DU and really lookied forward to yesterday.

Unfortunately all we have to look forward to is another 4 years of the stock market going down, lost pensions, lost healthcare and more wars.

We should not turn on each other here, or for John Kerry and John Edwards, our standardbearers. They did all they could do and represented our positions clearly. Instead, America has chosen 4 more years of the same, with the smirky chimp and his band of thieves.

We have to realize that the popular vote really precludes fraud. We had lawyers and eyes on the ground everywhere and things went pretty smoothly. In my county chimpy got 60,000 and Kerry 13,000. I feel that my vote was counted.

The repukes won the Senate in NC KY, OK, and SD. We lost and sadly, America lost.

We did our best and I am proud of all of us for tying so hard. Our government is rigged for incumbancy and even an illiterate, smirky chimp can get re-elected. It is a sad time in our history when the only thing it means to be a repuke in the south is to be anti-black.

10. And thank you Democrats for fighting so hard...

that we lost a fucking no brainer AGAIN!

Wow, I feel so proud. At least I know that we pulled no punches, didn't play to the center and stood up for L I B E R A L S all over this nation. We went for the throat, we never let the liars get by with lying, we pointed out the clear difference between combat and guard duty ...

Oh, wait... No we didn't.

What kind of fuck-ups are we? Huh?

P.S. Somehow I can't post new threads... I have over 700 posts, am I being spanked?

11. Thank you indeed.
I have some thoughts about what may well happen over the next four years, but I will post those later. Today is a day for reflection, and emotions.

Tomorrow is another day, and as long as I draw breath I will not stop fighting for what I believe is right, nor will I stop holding those accountable that do wrong.

And neither should anyone that posts here, and truly believes in our cause.
