Freepers, be HAPPY with the monster YOU created, coz he's ALL YOURS
Sure, the GOP will immediately enter into a civil war, and inevitably George W. Bush will cause irreparable harm to this country in the next two years with a GOP House and Senate that will rubber stamp every mistake he makes. And yes the Democrats will rebound in the 2006 midterms as the GOP suffers from the second-term implosion. But by then, the harm to our social fabric of having the religious right gain total control over our social and foreign policies and judicial appointments, while the economic elites savage our communities, environment, and economy for private gain over public interest will be incalculable and significant. Yet that is what a majority of those who voted tonight wanted. So the voters deserve what they are about to get. No excuses.

You have got the keys to the car now with no more excuses. We will still fight you tooth and nail, but you are firmly and totally responsible for what your dear leader and his cabal will do to this country from this point on. There will be no more blaming it on Clinton, or the Democrats for obstructing you from doing what you want because you have the numbers in Congress now and after this an even more submissive media than you had before.

Just be happy with the monster you and the rest of the Cult have created at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue tonight. Because he's all yours.

ENJOY.

1. Sorry, Lynn. He's not "all theirs." We're stuck with him, too.
If Bush was only "President of the Republicans," I wouldn't care.

5. We're stuck with him...
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 10:25 AM by Tamyrlin79
But that doesn't mean we can't RESIST them at every possible turn.

They may be about to take our civil freedoms, but they can never take away our FREE WILL. Civil freedoms are a recognition of free will. They may not recognize it, but that doesn't mean we cannnot exercise it. Free will is inherent. God-given, if you will. It cannot be taken away. Natural rights cannot be repealed. We still have our own thoughts, and having thought, can take our own actions. And if Bushco. doesn't like what we do? so what. If it means dying for the sake of liberty, so be it. Right now I'd rather be dead anyway, than have to stand witness to America's fall.

6. It's an all GOP show now.
They've been running on issues like banning abortion and putting prayer in school for decades now. Issues that we deem as distractions. Nows the time to hold them accountable if they don't produce. People are voting away their social security, pensions and legal rights all for supporting these causes. If they can't produce for their constituency it needs to be pointed out. They are being sold out by the GOP for their corporate agenda.

7. You honestly want them to "produce" these things???
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 10:33 AM by Tamyrlin79
Umm... seriously, if you point out that they haven't produced, they will blame the Democrats for "obstruction" (which we in all good conscience should do) and then use that to convince people to give them even MORE power by voting out the "obstructors" or by giving them an "obstruction proof" majority. You cannot win with this tactic. This way you are cutting down the weeds but leaving it to grow again. You have to attack this weed at it's root: point out that WANTING these things are wrong-headed and are inconsistent with American principles. Call it our own "love it or leave it" mentality: support separation of church and state or GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. If they like religious theocracy, I highly recommend Iran.

We have to draw our own ideological lines in the sand and then get people to defend those lines.

9. actually yes, I would like for them to do away with abortion, and
affirmative action. I'm creative enought that I can survive and take care of my family. and with no gun control, I can purchase just as many guns as the next nut.

I still believe that there are more dems then repugs, but it appears that our side has gotten fat and lazy. so maybe it's time for a little cold water.

10. So sad for America so sad for the World..Back to the 50's
the things we fought for and some died for are on a short list for extinction. Civil Rights,Peace,Social Justice,Fair Wages, Strong Unions,Social Services, Abortion Rights,Respect of All religions. This is a time to morn.
I feel we will survive, like in the 1950's, but we must reserve the right to question authority.Fundamentalist will see how they were used. They can not force feed all of us and we will not lie down.
I will hold this administration accountable, and start now to be smarter than the Spin Master and kinder than his Henchmen,we know who they are. Time will serve us well, and we will still make this country our America again.

11. No one left to blame, Bush stands alone in the next 4 years.
Economy, War, and Public Health are all on Bush's head. Clinton's cock is now too far removed to be a factor. Senate is firmly in Puke hands.

12. Let it be on their Heads
When the next terror attack comes and thousands are killed,

When our troops are blown up while driving down foreign streets,

When our people lack work, lose homes, and starve in the streets of America,

When our children are suffering from lack of health care,

When our seniors have to choose between food and heat,

When the rich get richer and the poor get poorer,

When our minorities are persecuted and denied civil rights,

When our America stops becoming the Land of the Free,

When they ask, "How did this happen?"

Reply to those who voted Republican,

It is nobody's fault but your own.
