Why do people vote for a man who.....
lies to us to get a war in Iraq, who outs a CIA agent for political gain, who ignores warnings that OBL is going to attack us in the united states, who fights hard not to have a 911 commission, who ignored advice about post war plans in Iraq that is now causing the death of thousands of our soldiers, who lied to congress about the cost of medicare, who lied to NYers about the quality of the air after 911, who hold closed door energy meetings?

How do people ignore all of the above (the list above is not complete)and cast their ballot for Bush?

1. Guns, God, and Gays
It is truly that simple. People are voting for their prejudices and not for the country. People are voting for religious dogma and not for our country.

2. I'm just as stunned as you. I am convinced....
...half the population is simply brain dead. I don't want to live in a country run by evangelicals. You thought the press was slanted THIS time....they amassed even more power this time and the supreme court is really screwed....rather We The People are screwed. Well, those that supported Bush deserve everything they get...too bad the rest of us have to suffer too. Any threads on here about how to apply for Canadian Citizenship?

5. Lack of courage

Plain and simple, a lack of courage. It takes courage to live in a free society and frankly, too many in this nation have no compunction to be corageous anymore. A sense of "security" is much more important to them. A lot more is going to have to happen before they get their bellies full of this shit and wake up to reality. Maybe when enough of the sons and daughters of this country lay dead and maimed on the battlefields of the *Bushco profit wars something will change.
