I was a poll monitor for Election Protection yesterday

and I froze my ass for seven hours standing in front of an elementary school in a minority neighborhood. We didn't see any problems there; in fact, I was so hopeful and excited, watching what I thought was a wonderful exercise in the democratic process. There were hundreds of Asian immigrants and African-Americans, many of whom were voting for the first time. And they all seemed so hopeful. I especially remember a middle-aged African-American woman who left the buidling smiling -- and she said, "I've been waiting FOUR YEARS to do that!"

America just screwed all those people. I am so ashamed of my country.
