Don't let anybody say that John Kerry didn't run a good campaign!!
In the primaries I was a huge Howard Dean supporter and still love the man for what he has done for the party, but I'm not going to say that Dean would have run a better race than Kerry nor would Clark or any of the others.

Kerry did everything we wanted him to do. He performed brilliantly during the debates--giving consistently even performances while the chimp changed from one extreme to another. He challenged Bush on Iraq and the War on Terror. He called Bush out for his lying and misinformation to the American people. He did everything we wanted our candidate to do.

He also ran a smart campaign. Where did he spend most of his time? Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Where will this election be decided--in those four states.

Now I've seen some criticize the selection of John Edwards saying he added nothing to the ticket. Well, he was the choice of most rank and file Dems according to polls for VP. Edwards campaigned tirelessly and always with enthusiasm and generated better crowds than Dick Cheney and the chimp himself on many occassions. He also complimented Kerry through his blue collar upbringing. We knew going in that North Carolina probably wasn't the reason for this selection--but nationally there can be no doubt that Edwards especially when compared to Cheney (as in the debate they had) was a net plus.

Kerry and Edwards ran a honorable and hard-hitting campaign and deserve our continued support.

1. Oh, god forbid.
By all means, make sure Democrats don't re-evaluate anything!

3. If he doesn't win
It wasn't a good or smart campaign... IMHO.

5. Nope
Dems either need to move even further toward the middle and run Southerners for office, or go for broke and become a solidly liberal party (and fuck the centrists!).
