The Kerry Campaign says they think they won Ohio. John Kerry isn't conceding. Neither am I. And neither should you.

This is Florida 2000 all over again. But they're not going to steal it this time. No fucking way.

CNN says there are 250,000 provisional ballots still to be counted in Ohio. Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell says it could take 11 days to count them. The entire political and media establishment is going to Ohio.

This is it, people. The moment of truth. This time, I am not going to sit here in my comfy house and watch this on TV. This time, I'm not going to sit back and watch a bunch of Republican congressional staffers in button-down shirts and loafers shut down the process. Fuck that.

I have a tent. I've got my health. I've got a car. Now that the campaign is over, I've got a shitload of free time. I have a website that gets tens of thousands of people every day.

I am going to Ohio.

Who is with me?

Verify the EVoting was legitimate - paper trails anyone?
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 02:14 AM by SoCalDemocrat
The question is did Ohio used paper audit trials on their EVoting?

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=1290765&mesg_id=1290765

I've done a statistical analysis on several swing states, and EVERY STATE that has EVoting but no paper trials has an unexplained advantage for Bush of around +5% when comparing exit polls to actual resutls.

In EVERY STATE that has paper audit trails on their EVoting, the exit poll results match the actual results reported within the margin of error.

So we have MATCHING RESULTS for exit polls vs. voting with audits

vs.

A 5% unexplained advantage for Bush without audits.

Maybe Dubayah believes God will see him through this, but it's going to take more than blind faith to pull the wool over the data and the facts.

108. I have not doubt Kerry's lawyers have been all over this today and will
continue all the way to the Supreme Court and to Congress if necessary. And I'm also sure they've been anticipating exactly this problem for months and are ready to pounce and file their papers within a day or two max. And not just in Ohio. All around the country where this problem exists.

99. SoCal has the numbers that confirm what our guts have been saying.
Folks, this election was stolen--even if Kerry wins Ohio. And I have a feeling some senators were shafted, as well. There has to be a way to look into the senatorial races.

There is no fucking way shrub won. And there is no fucking way he got the popular vote. (I'll be interested to see the final popular numbers, but there is NO FUCKING WAY he won the popular vote.)

We ain't giving up on this!!!!

Thanks for your investigation, SoCal. You rock.

fraud and did search earlier, but didn't know how to prove anything. High voter turnout, high exit polling for Kerry, low approval rating for Bush, and the non election of 2000 all point to fraud by the Bush administration. If you know how to prove this, let me know how to help. I have some time on the computer, phone, whatever.. OH is out for me right now.

again many thanks

115. CNN is now involved in covering up the EVoting Fraud
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 03:18 AM by SoCalDemocrat
Welcome to the Banana Republic of the United States of America.

I've been crunching the statistics for several hours. Every state that has EVoting and no audit trails has a 5% unexplained bump for Bush that does not match with exit polls taken. This is not true in states without EVoting or the States that EVote and have audit paper trails. Those states match almost exactly with the exit poll data.

As I was finishing up crunching through the election results and posting the last of my findings, I discovered my data source (CNN) was being altered. It appears CNN altered their exit polling site data to cover up the discrepancies that I (and probably others) were uncovering.

Thankfully another DUer managed to grab these screen shots about the time I realized CNN's data was starting to change out from under me.

Note the polls were long since closed, and most precincts had reported when I compiled my results. Look at the number of persons polled before and after in each of these CNN screen shots.

BEFORE (1,963 respondents)

Kerry up 2 among men, up 6 among women.

At 1:41am (CST) they changed the results to favor Bush:

AFTER (2,020 respondents)
That's just 57 more persons polled than in the previous snapshot.

Bush up 6% among men, even among women.

Here is the thread where I began compiling the information.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss....1290765

So we have what appears to be clear statistical evidence pointing at a glaring and consistent discrepancy in EVoting states that have no backup audit trials (about +5% unexplained Bush advantage). That discrepancy evaporates in non EVoting states or EVote states that legislated and put into effect backup audit trails (such as paper receipts given to voters at the polls).

If this is proven to be true, Bush must immediately step down as President in favor of John Kerry in order to preserve our Union.

Also, find a blog to put this up on - AND have a mirror site outside the U.S. If Bush really keeps the White House, some really nasty, Nazi-like shit is going down in this country! We've got to at least let the rest of the world know what's going on!

This can't be a coincidence. We will be pressured to concede.

DON'T! Let THEM feel the pressure to show every vote was counted properly in those states. We have time.

If they want to get it over with sooner, let them not stand in the way of the truth.

158. Factor in all the newly registered voters and the young people
who turned out and voted! Do the numbers of new voters in the "massive voter turnouts" reported nationwide and the difference in the total popular vote in 2004 and total popular vote in 2000, account for the huge numbers of new voters who voted this time? Did all those votes REALLY count, or were the electronic voting devices deleting Kerry votes in places like Ohio, WV and Florida? Were more electronic voting devices in use in counties that were more apt to vote heavily democratic? We know that electronic voting machines in Florida were deleting Kerry votes, that were cast in the Florida early voting!

The media ALL started out last night saying, that due to the "HUGE VOTER TURNOUT" at least 120,000,000 voted in this election, but the final totals are ten million short of that one hundred twenty million figure! What happened to those ten million votes?

Were the voter registrations, that we know were shredded by the thousands in those western states, a factor in Bush winning those same western states? Did the man who runs the company selling the electronic voting machines, in states like Florida and Ohio, promise Bush over a year ago that he guaranteed, he would deliver a Bush win in Ohio in 2004?

If this has to go to the US Supreme Court again, we should push it that far! I think Kerry and Edwards are as pissed as we are! I think they will push it! I think that if it turns out there is any evidence that this election was crooked as we suspect, all hell might break loose!

If Bush wins the Freepers might gloat for six months, but by that time they will see the REAL Bush and see the fools and suckers that they have been played for! I'm betting by then even the Bible thumpers will be sorry they ever saw Brother Bush! America is headed down the tubes and the Freeper kids had better pack their bags for boot camp!

As far as taking it to the streets, Osama my be right about blood running in our streets! We are sitting on a powder keg of our own making here in America! If you are needed in the streets, you will know beyond the shadow of a doubt, when that time comes! I'm very afraid that the Extreme GOP nutcases will push we the people too far!

Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 09:27 AM by jwirr
in 2000 I said to a grandmother of an Iraq War Veteran that "we would be sorry - wait and see". She has often remembered that statement. What I most hope for is that if we cannot by some miracle pull this out of the bag, that it is the freepers who are remembering it in the very near future. Skinner, if there is anything those of us can do to help that cannot go to Ohio keep us informed. If we cannot pull this out of the fire we are going to have to talk survival measures later. Stay with us.

Hey if people put together a list like this and a list of places where not to patronize I will follow it to a t. I am the Boycott Queen. And my family will hit them where it hurts. I already do not patronize establishments that I know to be repuke owned and/or give a lot of money to repukes.

203. FYI
http://quote.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=10000103&sid=a2pst2jk_0io&refer=us

Democrats have an equally easy time picking car insurance. Geico Inc. is owned by Berkshire Hathaway Inc., headed by Kerry backer Warren Buffett. Progressive Corp.'s chairman is Peter Lewis, who gives more money to Democratic-leaning groups than any other person, according to the Center for Public Integrity. For Republicans, there's USAA, whose executives overwhelmingly back Bush over Kerry.

http://slate.msn.com/id/2104988/

On the left: Costco Wholesale Corp. Last week, Jeffrey Brotman and James Sinegal, chairman and chief executive office of Costco, respectively, joined the list of executives who endorsed John Kerry for president. The company is based in Washington (a blue state in the past four elections, and one that Kerry leads, by a 53-45 margin according to the Aug. 2 Zogby poll), and a list of its locations bears some resemblance to the Kerry-Edwards campaign: strong on the affluent coasts and virtually nonexistent in the comparatively poor Great Plains and in the Old Confederacy. (Here are some basics on Costco.)

But I have a fat ass and cable modem.

to Ohio.

I can't leave my ill mom . I just can't
I'll do anything I can in CA.

I am beyond upset but I will not bend.

It is so so clear that this is not the will of the people.
The people were put in chains!
This was the will of the dirty little people in charge of the machines.

How many of those states that were so called "red" have a R'Con incharge of the voting process?

How many of them use Diebold machines?

"Contributing to the Kerry-Edwards 2004 General Election Legal and Accounting Compliance Fund (GELAC) provides important support for our campaign. The Federal Election Commission has just granted our request to raise funds now to cover recount expenses. Your contribution to Kerry-Edwards 2004 GELAC will provide the resources to make sure we are prepared to win the post election day battles.

In addition to recount costs, GELAC helps pay for legal and accounting expenses incurred by the campaign. By paying for these expenses with GELAC funds, the campaign is able to spend more of its limited public funds on critical campaign expenses such as media, candidate travel and direct contact with voters."

92. Anything us computer geeks can do?
I'm an aging (mid 40's) programmer, can modestly say I am one of the best around at hacking/decompiling/disassembling/debugging code, having grown up on binary and hex and and a wide variety of CPU opcodes in my "infancy" many moons ago. Coincidentally, I grew up in OH, got my degree at OSU, and also happened to work for Diebold in Canton, OH, in the early 1980's, on their ATM software of that era - which is, of course, completely unrelated to the software in their current voting machines.

Anybody know of any effort to explore the vulnerability of the Diebold software to subtle/intentional vote miscounting? I recall there was a big deal a couple years ago when one such vendor's e-voting software accidentally got posted on a public FTP site; but I'm sure there's no official access to Diebold software or hardware, right?

Being recently divorced, with custody of my 3 young kids, I really can't easily head right up to OH, but like others above, I would give MY LIFE to help Kerry claim the title he so clearly won. I'm sick of TX anyway - if there's really something positive I could do in OH, let me know, I'll pack up the kids and go!!!

143. David, you need a plan, my man!
Maybe it could be something like conducting a full fledged post mortem examination of all the numbers; an thorough-going investigation of the progress of results over the night, involving tracing everything back to--and verifying--the actual machines that produced the results, as well as all the procedures in use, the chain of custody of the results, etc.

Perhaps people like Bev Harris would help organize a team to look up the nose of every line of code in each of the different machines.

The project would have to be based on the premise that we suspect votes were manipulated in some way, and our goal is to either determine how or to convince ourselves things were on the up-and-up.

One of the outcomes, whatever the result, might be to write a book detailing exactly--in minute detail--exactly how the entire election process works within a state, from the casting of individual votes on individual machines, right on up to the tabulation of totals at the state level. That would be an enormously valuable contribution to the political culture. It could be done more easily if a number of people each had responsibility for different aspects of the process.

Anyhow, I'm just thinking out loud here. I grew up in Cleveland, and would love to participate--even if only a couple of days a week (traveling from eastern PA) in such a project. But I do think you need to map out a plan.

161. Demand FLORIDA Recount instead, let Bush HAVE Ohio.. We WIN
Skinner, I wish I was in the states but I'm not, but PLEASE don't forget about other states! I admire what you're saying and wish I could come along, but have a baby on the way.. SLAY THEM!

*****Here's what I just posted**************

Okay, let's get FLORIDA back on the table -- that Bush won Florida is BS and everyone knows it..

If we demand a Florida recount (subtract 27 EV from Bush) and push for the 1.3 million provisionals (while we're at it we can prove the fraud with exit polling data there) then Kerry WINS..

Once in office he can clean up the Ohio FRAUD and jail everyone involved from O'dell all the way to the Sec of State there and ROVE gets frog marched..

Make damn sure you bring up FLORIDA, don't let these monsters FRAME THE ISSUE, it's a bait and switch by them..

Jeb will go down in infamy, Bush is out and we get our sweet future back!

Don't let them make it all about OHIO, it's NOT just about that state -- Kerry's wife has nearly a Billion dollars and they need to send Lawyers into FLORIDA as well...

once and that's about it. Bush will probably retain
the popular and majority of votes Nation wide in the final
telling. It will be embarrassing to argue/protest that.
We should just calmly let the votes be counted and respect the
result.

you screw with their reality base, create cognitive dissonance, they strife to regroup, the next thing you say is installed in their minds..

Diebold appears to have conflict

CEO lobbies for Bush while seeking contract to sell voting machines

Associated Press

CLEVELAND - A wealthy businessman helping the Ohio Republican Party try to win the state in 2004 for President Bush also is the head of a company competing for a state contract to sell voting machines.

Walden O'Dell, chief executive of Diebold Inc., told Republicans in an Aug. 14 fund-raising letter that he is ``committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year.''

The letter invited guests to a $1,000-a-plate fund-raiser at O'Dell's suburban Columbus mansion and asked them to consider donating $10,000 each. The letter went out the day before Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, also a Republican, was set to qualify Diebold, based in Green, as one of three companies eligible to sell upgraded electronic voting machines to Ohio counties in time for the 2004 election...........

196. I'm in -- bad news ...I 'm Canadian ..good news I'm an election technology
specialist. The truth of the past two US elections lies in:
a) the software of voting machines/tally machines,
b) the missing/unaccounted for ballots
c) the counting procedures
d) the suppression of voters

I was in South Africa for 6 months in 1994 working on its first democratic election. It was an ugly and dangerous assignment. While we had plenty of foreign assistance who contributed greatly we did uncover a plot during the "counting procedures" ...
1) the ballots were paper but they not counted in the polls, they were moved to central counting stations (some went missing)
2) Some insiders (from SA) insisted on constructing a computer program to tally the votes ... we (of the foreign world) felt it should be devloped by neutral resources since every other system built and used in that election had been under the control of 5 outside appointees from other countries. In the end the SA insiders were given the job of building the final tally software. Once the counting started numerous irregularities began to arise. Wihtin 2 days the foreign commissioners stepped in and asked several members of my team (of 40 programmers) to perform an audit on the tally software ... sure enough the system had been programmed to reassign votes that would have gone to the ANC (Madela's party) to De Klerks party. Having proven that the tally machine was rigged, the counting process was halted STAT -- then something in the order of 200 accountants were hauled in from across the country to re-start the count but this time the tally would be done on simple spreadsheets. Several more days passed before we had a final count of the ballots. Well you know the end of the story, Mandela took over 60% of the vote. There ya go a first hand account of fraud and manipulation ... the world is not as it seems.

217. I can't live in this world
not like this, I don't want to live in a world of fear and hatred. I'm just a middle aged cripple, I can't take two steps before I fall on my face, but, I've got an old crippled up wheelchair sitting in storage, and a blind anger burning right now.
I've got no way to get there, surely there are busses being chartered in Mo. someone clue me in if there is.
I've got to talk it over with my wife, I don't think she'll understand, but, I just can't live with myself if I don't do something.
My father is coming in Friday, so, I'll have to say goodbye to him, this was going to be the last time I saw him alive anyway.
Then if I can't find a bus running there, I'll drive my car to the inerstate, park it, get in my chair and get my crippled ass to Colombus next week.

210. I'm most definitely in!
I live in Ohio, not far from either Cleveland or Columbus. All you need to do is tell me when and where and I am there.

My wife and I REFUSE to accept the supposed outcome of this election in Ohio. Tracking polls throughout the day projected Kerry winning this state by three points.

We've worked at the grass root level in our county and know these numbers are way off. Our county alone had nearly six thousand absentee ballots, but only four thousand were actually counted. I demand to know why that is!!

We are NOT giving up this fight, PERIOD!!!

i want to riot. the secretary of state of arizona informed me over the phone this morning that my vote was never counted, my husband's vote was never counted, my daughter's vote was never counted, because they were all vote early by mail ballots, and the mail ballots were never counted. I am so pissed, my vote must be counted before a winner is declared, and yet, my candidate is conceeding and running away from me. are we still going to riot in ohio? how about washington?
