If this goes bad, they're gonna blame the Edwards pick
for not bringing the South more into play to help with the Senate, not to mention Kerry.

I hate going to bed so down, still a glimmer of hope but very discouraged at this point. Aargh.

1. It's not over.
If we lose, it is because of voter suppression and cheating.

3. Can't blame Edwards.
In fact, save the blame game for IF we lose. I'm still positive.

6. Who is "they" - how about "we" are going to question the Edwards pick!
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 11:46 PM by Democat
Kerry will hopefully win this tonight, but let's face it - in retrospect, what the fuck did Edwards bring to the ticket?

10. Yes - "we"
meaning second guessers among the Dems. I was an early Clark supporter and like Edwards A LOT - but thought Edwards would bring more voters to us than he apparently has.

I am going to bed sick at heart and hoping for a strong and surprising surge for the good guys.

13. I didn't expect him to bring
the South but I did expect the party to be more invigorated by his presence based on his stirring 'Two Americas' platform during the primaries. If anything hurt us it was, honestly, the lack of passion (up til the very end) projected and inspired by the candidates. Please don't flame me but it took a long time for Kerry to inspire the Democratic base. A lot of people were voting more against Bush than for Kerry until the debates.

I don't blame Edwards.

12. I was an Edwards supporter
Kerry didn't seal my vote until he chose Edwards as his VP.
Not, admittedly, that I really could have gone anywhere but...

9. John Edwards is good
John Edwards is a good person he helped people who were hurt by companies that were bad. My Dad says that he helped a girl who was hurt in a pool and I like that.

15. Yes, thank you.
John Edwards is a good person as are so many of the Americans I see on this site and everywhere I go.

As all the world knows, we are a people of enormous strengths and enormous weaknesses. Right now our weaknesses appear to have taken over our strengths though.

I feel that the American experiment is finally failing, and I don't even understand why. I want to blame George Bush, but I realize that it is really my fault, too.

I don't have to burn so much fuel, eat so much meat, use up so much of the world's resources.

I have a lot to think about. Even if I can't change the leadership of this country, I can still change myself.

Maybe I will just go away and start over in another culture, learn a new way to live. I will always miss my dream of America. It was a wonderful experiment even if it failed.

Cindy

11. It's NOT Edwards -- it's ballot corruption
Kerry's people will fight this in the courts. They have about $24 MILLION with which to fight this.

... and here's the kicker -- I think they'll win.
