I stood on my feet for twelve hours. I poll-greeted in a heavily republican precinct. In the drizzly at times and pouring down at others rain. There were 1000 voters at that precinct, a record, and from casual exit polling, my state candidate was pulling a majority there.

In my own precinct the line was wrapped around the school from 7 am to 7 pm. They were going Dem 2 to 1 and it's a heavily republican precinct, too (or so we thought?).

I am exhausted in every molecule. I am going to get off here just wanted to tell everyone not to worry too much about the EVs now, everyone has only taken states we knew they would take. Don't sweat it, no swing states reporting.

Kerry's gonna win.

Good God, my FINGERS are tired. I got so cold I could hardly say my candidate's name by the end. And some freak-azoid freeper fundies were poll greeting off and on for the opposition guy. One tried to lecture me on homosexuality and the bible then asked me if I carried a concealed weapon before I told him in no uncertain terms to back off before I dialed 911 on my cell phone. He was obviously trying to intimidate me into leaving but I wasn't going anywhere.

And damn, who knew I was that good at poll-greeting? LOL! When I get into my groove, watch the hell out! The freeper guy asked me if I was in sales or something. "Nope, I just really believe in my candidate."

He left an hour before the polls closed. He yelled out "I'm going to leave the strays to you, we don't care about them!" Little did he know (it was dark) there were some voters walking up behind him. I quickly said "Katy Hubener doesn't think you are strays and she DOES care about your vote." I gave them push cards, did my spiel about voting for all the Dems and they gave dirty looks to the guy and said "We're voting for HER" and he just slinked away.

I got four hours of sleep last night but I am WAY to freaking wired to sleep, are you kidding me? ROFL!

I'm feeling good about Kerry, though. I'm too tired to be nervous, he hasn't lost a state yet that he needed and bush hasn't won a state we didn't think he would, so no worries.

And Chet Edwards is leading with early voting in TX!!!!! GO CHET!!!! Damn!
