MSNBC: Bush Campaign now claiming Exit poll data is not accurate?
Because they say this does that make it true?

Is this another replay of Florida 2000?

2. Early exit poll data changes. But wrong? Suspicious they'd say that.

If they do not match Diebold programming?

7. Yes, because what the voters themselves say
is nowhere near as accurate as what the voting machines say.

10. What difference does the validity of the exit poll data make?
It's the ballot poll that matters.

Are they gonna try to claim that because there were a bunch of bogus exit polls running around the internet all day their voters were discouraged and didn't turn out and that we should therefore give them 5% extra votes in every precinct?

15. A red flag only to those that can think.
And if people could think, we would not be in this bu$h mess.

23. I hope it will. I sure hope we are not *Diebolded*.
The worst thing about electronic voting, is if we are *Diebolded*, we will NEVER know.

That, of course is what leaders like Bev Harris, Rebecca Mercuri, and Lynn Landes have been trying to alert Americans about.

If the overall problems and chaos,(despite the terrific turnout*) doesnt get us back to pencil and paper, I'm not sure what will.

I say this IRREGARDLESS who the victorious candidate is.

I want to feel 100 percent confident the winner is truly the candidate that Americans voted for. I can live with any result as long as its the truth.

Not to mention I would propose getting citizens to manually recount the ballots ourselves.

I think that would truly bring the elections back into the hands and the responsibility of all of us as Americans.

I think we are learning however it turns out, that once again,

"Democracy is not a spectator (or a technological for that matter*)sport".

18. I get the freak-out, but wouldn't one expect some spin from them?
I mean, it's in their interest to say that while voting's still going on, yeah?

24. Exactly. But "wrong" only in not accounting for balloting errors.
Voter intent was clearly for Gore in 2000, and the exit polls accurately reflected that.

25. This Annoys Me
The wisdom has become that the exit polls were wrong in going Gore for Fla in 2000, but they weren't. People reported to pollsters how they had THOUGHT the voted. No exit poll can take in to consideration the fact that Grandma Goldberg in Palm Beach thought she voted for Gore, but really voted for Buchanan.
