2. Provisional ballots
There was a shortage of them.

Therefore they are keeping a few locations open so people can vote provisionally.

Some other polls are still open as well --long lines.

3. Judge bars absentee vote count in Philadelphia
Judge bars absentee vote count in Philadelphia

By Joseph A. Slobodzian
INQUIRER STAFF WRITER

A federal judge today barred Philadelphia election officials from counting more than 12,000 absentee ballots after Philadelphia's Republican Committee sued contending city election officials had failed to provide the GOP with an advance copy of approved absentee voters.

U.S. District Judge William H. Yohn Jr. issued the order when an oral agreement between GOP lawyers and the City Commissioners office fell apart after lawyers representing Philadelphia Democratic officials intervened and three hours of talks failed to yield a new pact.

Yohn set a hearing for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in federal court during which he will hear evidence and decide whether to extend the order that prohibits election officials from opening and counting at least 12,000 - and as many as 15,000 - received since Friday.

4. You've got to be kidding me
Republicans want absentee ballots not to count because they didn't get notice of the persons who have registered for them?

7. Yes, but they are concentrating on disenfranchising Philadelphians
because the turnout was f***ing stupendous there today, and that means one thing -- people were overwhelmingly voting democratic.

10. Relax
15,000 votes won't decide Pa.

We'll get the votes counted eventually.

Relax, Kerry is taking Pa.

12. 2 to 1
So far but that's only 1% of the precincts reporting.

Voters are still in line in some counties. The last voter who was in line at 8 PM has about a three hour wait, give or take, depending on their location.

One polling place has had hours extended because some polling officials didn't show up this morning. More help wasn't brough in until 5PM in one location. Sorry...I didn't catch where but it was reported on WNEP-TV in NE PA.
