It's based on exit polls and 1% of the precincts reporting. Give me a fucking break. A surprise from West Virginia isn't impossible. Bush wasn't doing as well there as he did against Gore. While it isn't a swing state, I wouldn't assume Bush has it in the bag just yet. Why do they (the media) feel compelled to call states so quickly? It pisses me off, especially when the polls haven't closed on the west cost.

We all knew for a FACT that Bush would win these red states. That isn't the issue, IMO. The thing that is bugging me is the incredibly retarded shit the media is saying. I'm about ready to kick in the TV, and it is NOT because Bush won some states that we all knew he would win. Why is ABC posting idiotic returns that reflect almost no actual precincts? Why are they running totally ridiculous "possibility scenarios" that always seem to favor Bush?

But hey, I understand the idea of taking a pill. The media is always screwy anyway, and I STILL feel very good about our chances in this thing. It's possible the networks are just milking it for ratings.

Plus, I just switched to CBS, and it's clear they are far better than ABC. ABC is just on crack tonight.

Oh well, time for a beer. :)
