Doug Dermody, chairman of the Madison County Democratic Executive Committee, said Monday that the senior pastor, the Rev. Jeff Ponder-Twardy, and youth minister B.J. Storey of Owens Crossroads United Methodist Church apologized to their congregation Sunday and submitted a written apology to the county's Democratic headquarters.
Ponder-Twardy personally delivered the regrets Monday, Dermody said Monday afternoon.
