Listen up you people in solid red states........Why you MUST MUST vote
if there is a tie, and it ain't the least likely possibility.....we need a victory in the POPULAR VOTE so the Repukes will be held up for the scumbag fascists they are when they steal it again.

2. Even if it's not a tie!
We need to not only win the electoral vote, but we need a huge popular victory to give Kerry the momentum he needs to get change working right away!

3. LOCAL RACES
I'm in a red state, but even aside from the popular vote, I've got competitive races on the rest of the ticket, from state house to U.S. Senate. Plenty of reason to vote in Oklahoma.

13. I think it's going to be VERY close
Two weeks ago, I thought Carson was beginning to pull away. But it seems like at the end of the campaign Coburn has a lot more money left, and his ads have been flooding the airwaves for the last 10-15 days. I see a lot more Coburn ads than Carson ads.

The last poll I saw had Coburn slightly ahead, but it was a conservative poll in my opinion. (The same poll had bush ahead by 33 points in OK, which I just don't buy.)

Anyway, I'm not as confident as I was two weeks ago, but I'm still optimistic for Carson's chances. There is a lot more energy from the grass-roots dems here in OK (at least in my part of OK) this year than I have seen in any election for the last ten years, so I definitely still have plenty of hope that Carson will win.

18. Thanks for the info, and good luck
Coburn is a menace to society. Perhaps Kerry's long coattails will help Carson.

19. Thanks, we'll need it
:D

Coburn is indeed a menace, and would possibly instantly replace our own Jim Inhofe as the worst senator in the country :scared:

Yes DLCer, everyone here is voting. And voting Dem.

Who says DLCers are not as arrogant as Freepers. No one.

At least wait until after the election.

22. Why? We may be voting for Kerry but we are not on board with the DLC
Never. They do not represent some of us since they are in favor of the corporatists and lobbiests.

Kerry on the 2nd, but the DLC---NO. That is why they are worried and keep starting these threads demanding DUers vote KERRY. Just the same as the Bush machine, not requests--demands.

26. But please let it rest for one day. You can have your war the other 364
days of the year (365 if leap year).

How are you going to wrest the party from the clutches of the DLC if the DLC is truly in control?

6. Red State Vote In
I'm in Indiana and have already voted absentee. I'm sure Bush's margin will be significantly less than in 2000. That will be the story everywhere. Blue states will be bluer this year and most of the red states will be pink. Go Kerry!!!!!!!!!!!

9. I will be at the polls before they open in the Bright Red State
of Louisiana.

I have had a hand in converting five Bushbots to Kerry and 3 more are leaning that way. I'm not naive. I know Louisiana is lost. But every vote for Kerry is a vote for Kerry.

12. every vote counts differently
None of us can rest until the Electoral College is eliminated and every vote counts equally. Until that day comes those of us who vote in red states know that it is little more of a symbol for the media to harp about AFTER the Presidential election.

I'm giving the Democratic Party another chance, not just to support Kerry/Edwards and fight for our platform..but for true democracy as well.

14. We got it baby! Louisiana
New Orleans is hard core KERRY! I was at a sign waving visibility event on Napolean and Magazine. People were honking! One lady in a Rolls Royse rolled by with the sun roof open and a handheld Kerry/Edwards sign waving out the top!

It was beautiful!

I have a Dem senator to vote for too, even if I didn't want to make sure to cast a Kerry vote. Last thing we need is DeMint *shudder* as a replacement for Hollings.

16. we are ALL going out in Texas for two reasons
That percentage of anti-Bush votes: we want it higher than 2000
That national popular vote. We want it to be massively in the D column

I voted straight Democrat. I know Georgia's EVs won't go to Kerry, but I didn't think about how my K/E vote would count towards the popular vote. I feel awesome now!
