4 Things That Can Defeat Us Tomorrow
Not in any particular order:

1. Weather. Predicted to be nasty here in the Northeast with intermittent showers and chill temperatures. May deter voters, or make others leave prematurely without having voted.

2. Repuke challenges holding up the lines - If extreme enough will produce interminable delays and disgusted voters who leave without voting. Same for voter intimidation.

3. Fear of terrorism in major cities and/or flu especially considering inclement weather. We already have flu here (I can testify to that) and local health departments are advising people, especially the elderly, to stay at home.

4. Presumption of a Kerry "landslide" making voters not bother to go to the polls.

Can anyone think of any more roadblocks besides Bush using some terror/Iraq stunt to gain votes between now and the end of voting?

4. Go away. Pukes may be dissuaded by your list, but every Dem

Nice try.

6. I don't think 4 will come into play.
People will want to cast against Bush, especially after the 2000 election.

7. Anyone who's presuming a Kerry "Landslide"
hasn't been watching the bullshit polls they cherry-pick for Cable news.

I agree that the GOP will try to interfere with voting- PRESS and OTHER ATTENTION will make them scurry like the vermin they are. They prefer to disenfranchise minorities, etc. under cover of darkness. Once people start raising a stink, I'm willing to bet they back off somewhat.

10. Fear of terrorism
would keep those who have bought into the whole fear BS home on election day. Those security moms will be hiding in the closets with their kids.

I don't think anyone who supports Kerry is going to stay home because they think he's going to win. It's just too close.

Repuke challenges will probably just piss people off enough for them to wait 4 hours to vote.

I'm thinking positive this hour. Ask me about this again in another hour and I might have a differnet story.

11. 5 Things. Don't forget the Supreme Court.
If the Repukes start filing lawsuits right and left, they will be trying to get the decision thrown to the Supreme Court.

If that happens, we need to be ready to take to the streets with the biggest civil disobedience campaign in the history of the world.

12. Did you get these talking points from Faux News?
Because it sure sounds like it. Let me go ahead and debunk all of your misguided assertions.

1. Weather, unless it's a blizzard, is irrelevant. No blizzards forecasted. People won't stay home over rain in large numbers. In fact, while it's supposed to rain tommorow in Ohio, the forecast calls for a balmy November mid 60s.

2. There won't be any Repugs challenging anyone in Ohio tommorow thanks to the court ruling today. I know it's under appeal, but the clock is ticking.

3. Polls suggest the Bin Laden tape was a wash. The flu thing is overblown.

4. We here at DU are confident because we are informed. Most people, including the overwhelming majority of people who will vote for Kerry tommorow are not as informed and therefore not as confident. They will vote.
