Fineman on Imus: My gut tells me Kerry wins
Sees more enthusiasm at the Kerry rallies and on the Kerry side.

Also thinks the Republicans blew it by challenging new voters in OH; made them look afraid.

For what it's worth...

5. Fineman was very positive towards Kerry winning
I'd say he's joined the crowd of realist Republicans (Tucker Carlson, Stephen Hayes, and Craig Crawford) who think Kerry will win.

He said "Kerry's a fighter", and overruled his campaign about the strategy in the final week. The campaign wanted to go positive, but Kerry being the fighter he is wanted to keep his foot on Bush's throat.

8. I really had to laugh, though, when Imus told David Gregory
that Kerry would WIN! No doubt about it. It's in the bag. Done deal. How, asked Gregory, are you so sure? I just know, sez Don....I have my sources. And I'd go to jail just like Judith Miller to protect 'em. Kerry's going to win. Gregory: But...but just a few weeks ago you didn't think so. Imus: Things change.

I'm assuming he had this brilliant flash of insight after the Fineman interview. Imus really needs to get over himself.

I thought there wouldn't be anything that would make me laugh for the next 48 hours. This did. Thanks, Don!

(And, BTW, Fineman IS right. Ken Blackwell and the Ohio GOP have done themselves NO favors in this state.)
