On FAUX this morning, the creeps were bitching
about election observers.
They were claiming that only the US had the right to observe other countries, that we invented democracy.

I know, I know I should not watch this shit, I was flipping through channels and something caught my attention.
After I picked my self up off the floor from laughing, I left for work.

4. Democratic Societies before America:
Athens + Greek city-states
Rome
Medieval German imperial city-states
Cantons of the early Swiss Confederation
United Provinces (Netherlands)

Yes, democracy has a long history.

5. We didn't invent democracy we started as a republic
a republic which some argue is now a democracy because of the 17 Amendment to the constitution. Voting however, does not in itself equate to democracy.

10. I would use the standard line to turn that crap off, but............
My Satellite dish got knocked out on my roof a couple days ago by a storm but luckily it was still under warranty so I don't have to fix it myself.

The Mrs called em Saturday but they are too booked and can't come out to fix it till tomorrow (she mostly watches anyway). I guess I am mostly going have to get all my information in last couple of days of this election like a 24 hour day Cube-Rat. Frankly coming here to DU I never could have been more informed anyway.

Has fox news changed their trademark yet:shrug: Is it

"We make all this shit up, so why decide?"

12. better trademark
that reminds me... On Fox News Sunday yesterday the "pundits" were talking about the polls. They mentioned how Fox's own poling showed Kerry doing stronger among men. Bill Kristol said something like "You deserve credit for reporting that." Why should they "deserve credit?"
