2. You're wrong. Gore won. The US Supreme Court installed
Bush against the wishes of the people of Florida and the U.S.

The Democratic turnout this year will CRUSH Bush, just to be sure the bug is dead.

4. He won the popular vote --
-- which is what a national poll tracks.

9. He also won Florida, but the GOP made sure the black voters
were disenfranchised just enough to tie it up in the Courts and let the US Supreme Court pick the president.

The Dept. of Justice found voter fraud and disenfranchisement of black voters in Florida.

So, Gore actually won Florida, thus, the electoral college.
And he won the popular vote.

Bush only won the US Supreme Court case by 1 vote.

12. "The Dept. of Justice found voter fraud and disenfranchisement..."
Is there a link to a report from the DOJ about that? I'd be extremely interested in checking it out.

I'm afraid I haven't read up much on Florida other than what was in MM's book Stupid White Men.

Thanks in advance.

13. Link here for the summary by the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 06:21 PM by Lex
.
which was the investigative body sent by the Dept. of Justice to Florida to examine the allegations of voter disenfranchisment:

http://www.usccr.gov/pubs/vote2000/report/exesum.htm

An excerpt of their findings:

"The Commission’s findings make one thing clear: widespread voter disenfranchisement—not the dead-heat contest—was the extraordinary feature in the Florida election.

7. That's because Pew didn't poll the Supreme Court. Then they would have
known it would be stolen for your guy.

11. Plus I Broke Down Their Poll In Another Thread....
It includes:

39% Puke

35% Dem

26% Indy

If you weighted those numbers like Zogby or Rasmussen or WAPO you would have a significant Kerry lead...
