President Kerry Needs to Diffuse the Media...
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 04:34 PM by Triana
...re-enact the Fairness Doctrine. Break up the megamedia monsters. This has got to be one of his first priorities, IMO. I'm sure this is an 'impossible' task. But, it has to be done. The US media is Public Enemy #1. There is no Democracy with a state-owned media and that's what we've got.

They are a large part of why GWB ended up in the White House. The other, the Usurping Crap Court - and Kerry needs to change that, too, if he gets the chance.

I just think this is one of the things 'we the people' need to pester the crap out of him about doing once he's elected...and that we need to do EVERYTHING we can to help him do it. Time to start thinking about how we can take back the media is now. Bye, Michael Powell....you little corprat twit.

on edit: changed Title to more suitable terminology

4. It has absolutely GOT to be one of his
first priorities. One of OUR first priorities as citizens and Democrats. The media as arm of the Propoganda Ministry has GOT to be stopped ASAP.
Enough already. If (WHEN) he's elected, I see LOTS OF WORK for DU'ers helping him set his agenda, and doing all we can helping him to carry it out. When he wins, the work is FAR from over.

2. Bad choice of words in your topic
I dont even want Kerry to be able to control the media. The trouble is that they CAN be controlled so easily. The break-ups should happen. The fairness doctrine I like, but it needs to be flexible. No doubt the power has to be diffused.

3. The Felonious Five should be impeached!
The violated the oath of office by ignoring the Constitution and they have tainted the reputation of the court.
