ANALYSIS: Kerry is doing better holding Gore's five battleground "blue" states used in this analysis than Bush is doing in his own five battleground "red" states. Kerry now posts a slight lead in both the "red" and "blue" battleground states used here. The President's position in Ohio and Florida, two crucial swing states he carried in 2000 accounting for 47 Electoral Votes, remains pecarious. The latest numbers in Ohio where Kerry now has a narrow lead, are enough to give the President's people heartburn, although Bush seems to have slightly expanded his small lead in Florida.
