Did any morning news program mention how innaccurate the 2000 polls were?

Did any morning news program mention how innaccurate the 2000 polls were?
If memory serves, many major polls in 2000 showed Bush winning the popular vote by a comfortable margin. Zogby and Democracy Corp. polls pointed to Gore winning the popular vote, but they were the exception.

Yet once again you have Meet the Press and other news showing all the latest poll results, without providing any historical context. I guess if the news programs had to admit that many of these polls have proved unrealiable in the past, they'd have to answer the obvious question: why the hell does the press even bother reporting the poll results? Wouldn't this violate journalistic ethics? After all, if you know there's a good chance something isn't accurate, aren't you honor bound not to report it?
