4. I also saw him on "The Daily Show," quite recently, and he said
that, though he disagrees with Bush* on every single domestic issue, he's going to vote for him because of 9/11 and security. Is this man insane? How can people, especially one who must be unusually well-informed, make such a bogus statement?! I keep hearing this and it boggles the mind. 9/11 happened on Bush*'s watch, the biggest intelligence failure and terrorist attack in history, all because he ignored memos and didn't want to touch "a Clinton issue." And now, after launching this illegal, costly and bloody war, based on more bad or selected intelligence, which has stirred up more hatred towards us in the Islamic world, and served as a recruitment tool for al-Quada, making us more vulnerable to terrorist attack, not less, this man has the unmitigated gall to stand up in front of the American people and say that we will be safer with him in office?!! This just makes no sense at all, but "some people" are buying it!

14. Koch is not stupid. He has been around the block and must realize
that this is the most serious intelligence failure of out time, or any time. More than 3000 citizens of his beloved city were murdered in cold blood, on Bush*'s watch. I cannot see how he can forgive that, especially since it has been revealed that Bush* spent August of 2001 on his Crawford Ranch, pondering the ethics of stem-cell research, and ignoring intelligence memos that said "bin Laden plans an attack on American soil." I don't understand Koch, but, much less, fail to understand why Bush* wasn't impeached, for dereliction of duty.:grr:

2. He's like the only prominent LIBERAL supporting Bush
and he openly says he disagrees with Bush on every single issue except defense. He's a one issue voter and he stupidly thinks Bush is going to protect his family from terrorists! Bush is the one who let his beautiful city get attacked!

I lost all respect for Ed Koch

3. Nah, that's not it. Koch want Sharon to have a free hand in Israel.
He's a Likudist, so is Ron Silver. That's their one issue...security is a smokescreen.

Dogtag's got it right. It's not about America for Koch. It's about Israel. Eff him.

10. There's a huge difference between being 'pro Israel' and being
a Likudist Sharon supporter. Sharon uses Nazi like tactics and almost insures that the bloodshed will go on unimpeded. This is the opinion of many Israelis, by the way. No hope for peace with Sharon in power.

16. Not necesarily
To be fair here, there's a small but vocal percentage of American Zionists for whom the combination of Sept. 11 and the bombings in Israel was too much.

They flipped out and started rationalizing rampage as foreign policy. I'd put Tom Friedman in that category, too. I'm not trying to offer excuses for them, but I can see how it could happen to otherwise reasonable people.

17. Hardly! Bush* has made no move at all to solve the I/P situation
It's hit a 40-year high in violence, but, unfortunately, it's one of the three Clinton priorities that he deliberately ignored, since he knows so much better. Shall I name them? The I/P situation, with which Clinton came so close to an agreement, meeting at Camp David with Barak and Arafat, even bringing in King Hussein, of Jordan, from his sick-bed, to encourage the process. Bush* ignored this, except for that vague "road map," he said he supported, a couple of years ago. And then what?

And then there's the threat of North Korea, who have may have obtained nukes. Secretary of State, under Clinton, Madeline Albright, worked very closely with them, to try to stop this. And who from the Bush administration took up the cause of North Korea? I guess that they ignored this, as well, and they now, not only hate us, but have six to eight nukes, as Albright stated, last week.:scared:

And Clinton's last, and most intense, priority? Killing or capturing the man who was responsible for the 1993 WTC bombing and the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole. Clinton warned Bush* about Osama bin Laden. But Bush* dropped the ball on this, as well, big time, just in time to have bin Laden make an unscheduled appearance during the campaign. Who is bin Laden endorsing? Nobody will claim him, though the Bush* campaign called his appearance, "a gift.". WTF?!

9. The talking heads are perfectly aware of this fact, but as we
know, they go to great lengths to avoid mentioning the truth. God forbid, should they ask a real question regarding the motives of a Democrat who despises everything in the repuke platform, but supports Shrub.

Sharon is such a swell guy...Arafat is not dead yet, but Sharon got on the tube today and made a proclamation that Arafat will be refused burial in Jerusalem. Got to keep those 'suiciders' coming!

13. Sharon and Bush thrive on terror
they'd be nothing without it. They need their people to die in order to stay in power and enact their draconian policies.

12. I've gotten three mailings and a phone message from him
I think he is an ignorant asshole. Koch is a Likudnick, and he probably believes the fallacy that Bush is better for Israel. If he were to look at things objectively, Bush is only making things worse for Israel, not better. And he has completely screwed up the security of the United States in the long term.
