smirk loses cool at rally when confetti cannon goes off

Suddenly there was an explosion—Our brave, macho President

Bush went to Manchester, New Hampshire, on Thursday morning to give a speech, which according to his aides was to be "about the character of the nation and the leadership it needs." As it turned out, New Hampshirites got a better-than-expected glimpse of the President's character.

The event got off to a rocky start. Aides had been promising that ace pitcher Curt Schilling of the Boston Red Sox was going to introduce Bush, but Schilling backed off at the last minute.

Bush's speech was "devoted almost entirely to 9/11 and the war in Iraq." Fortunately, NPR was there—
Suddenly there was a terrifying explosion in the arena. It turned out to be only a confetti cannon prematurely fired. President Bush initially flinched, and half a minute later he seemed rattled when he resumed speaking—
My determination has not faded since that day. My determination is wrong—strong! I will never relent in defending America, whatever it takes!

Bush's voice is shaking. No report yet on the Presidential undergarment.

1. They showed this in a video clip on CNN yesterday.
Actually they made a bit of fun of him. Said the cannon was to be fired when shrub said "and God Bless America". Well, before he got to that end of his speech, he was thanking some people and said "God bless you". I actually can't fault the guy who fired the conffetti canon. He did his job based on his instructions. How was he to know there would be two God Blesses in shrub's speech?

2. Get the tapes!
We need a post of the audio for that one. This is priceless. I wonder if the podium blocked it when he pissed himself...

4. You know if Shurby boy were a COMBAT veteran
I could even understand. Alas he could not even find Alabama in the map...

Funny story from some years back, my hubby (Navy Vet), my brother in Law, (Navy Vet) and I went to dinner to a local diner with a kid we were mentoring. Well we are having a talk and all of a sudden BOOOMMM! (Balloon was over inflated). The three of us have been under fire so naturally we did what most people in that situation do, we were looking for cover, FAST.

The kid and the waitress thought it was hilarious. The owner (WW II Combat Vet) knew exactly what happened. there were no more balloons inflated that night.

6. It's well known that Bush is a Chicken Sh*t
All his life he has proved that from the time he got his daddy to pull strings to avoid combat in Vietnam to his fear of speaking before the media and crowds that aren't 100% hand-picked Bush supporters.

And yes, I saw that clip of Bush flinching at the sound of the noise and ducking down for a second. Then a few seconds later when figuring out one of his stooges blew it by letting the confetti go too soon, he flashed an angry look and stumbled on throughout the speech.

Everything about Shrub is a carefully contrived image designed/managed by his handlers that in fact is 100% opposite of what he is, which among many faults, a cowardly bully.

8. wrong—strong! Yes, Wrong and Strong sums up Shrub Well
He knows he is wrong but, heck, I'm the Prez-i-dent of de United States and my daddy was Prez, and I've got that Texas Swagger So I don't care if I'm wrong and if it costs the lives of thousands of our brave men and women in uniform and the massacre of more than 100,000 Iraqi citizens.

Look at ME! I'm the Prezident. God Speaks to me.
