1. What drug is the Bush campaign on?
They are delusional. Huge voter turnout is happening because people are fed up with the rethugs and want them out!

2. I know.. I'm so sick of it!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess they think if they can repeat it long enough we will believe it. Just like they kept trying to insist that Bush won the last two debates and were dumbfounded when they public disagreed! So now they think that because the Bush/Cheney campaign says something it must be so...

12. smile
"Bush campaign says they will win by overwhelming margin "

breathe deep and smile, folks. this is the last desperate attempt by the most corrupt, stupid administration in U.S. history. They have to say Bush will landslide to try and scare voters away.

27. Precisely because it is "the most corrupt, stupid administration in U.S.
history" is the reason for this desperate spin. If people really believe it, then there won't be as much dispute if a repeat of 2000 occurs? I am so worried about Rove cheating, voter disenfranchisement, and no paper trails in Ohio and Florida. The more they spin B* win, the more they can spin his re-election. (Well, the election was so close...all of the polls predicted as much...the liberal press...the whining dem's, etc ad nauseum..)

Didn't a Bush insider confess last week that their internal polling is worse than the publicized national polls?

5. Come on, now...
What do expect them to say?

Gillespie: "Judy, we are up shit creek with a turd as a paddle. We are seriously fucked. The president has already made arrangements with Mayflower to send all his shit back to Texas. On Wednesday, I'm going down to Dairy Queen to fill out an job application."

It's just PMA bullshit. It don't matter. :)

9. Exactly....
... they are like pro wrestlers, both sides talking out of their ass about the can of beat-down they are about to deliver.

Trust me, the pukes have their own pollsters and they know what is going down. You wouldn't be hearing all the desparate nonsense they are spewing if things looked good.

disagreements flourish and holding your breath sometimes works....geebush is a hero to some here, both for his flaws and the gemlike perfection his fans perceive in his...hey he makes caligula a contemporary, and thus subject to study, which increases knowlege and change....which is good

8. Well of course they are
Republicans want to suppress turnout, thus "It's all over, nothing to see here, just stay home" while we want to get out the vote. Of course the media whores know this is just spin, but they will report it as a "sign" that Bush must be winning big, just like the thugs knew they would. We know better, and we know that it's too late for W. He can't get over 50%, and that number is the harbinger of doom for George. To paraphrase one hit wonder Peter Wolf, it's lights out.

15. They pulled the same thing in 2000
It's Roves "inevitability" strategy to drive down turnout. Day before the 2000 election I heard Rove predicting a 320 vote count for Bush!! Ignore it!

16. For many weeks now the Bush campaign has been telling the Wall Street
Journal reporters that Bush would need to have a 5 point lead going into the election in order to win. Two weeks ago Turd Blossom Rove was saying "watch Zogby." And in 2000 the Bush campaign was boasting of how large Bush's winning margin would be.

It sounds like Bush is worried that the republican base and volunteers will get discouraged if they find out the truth.

21. Bush has made a last minute pitch for the Hispanic vote.
Is this going under the radar? I noticed he was on Sabado Gigante last night (Saturday). My Spanish is very rusty, but it was clear he was talking about the things that matter a lot to hispanic voters: family, religion, opportunity (He spoke in English, and had an overlaid translation, while the questions were asked in Spanish). I had heard that Kerry was going to be on too, but I never saw him. He may have come on before Bush: I tuned in late.

Just as an aside, he used yet another persona. He was "Cute Bush" with sweet smiles and a coquettishly cocked head. Is he now also going after the "cutie-pie" vote. It was truly awful- at least to me. Was it the result of some handler telling him it would help? Let's hope not.

This morning, he is speaking from FL with his brother, and again speaking Spanish. What I want to know is has anyone been looking at the hispanic vote? Is this working with them? Hispanic people, as a rule, are more conservative, and potentially perhaps more succeptible to his pitch. I hope this is not working.

23. I read yesterday
(and I'm sorry I don't have a link because I was skimming and surfing all over the place) that Bush is actually polling slightly lower than Gore's final result amongst Hispanics. They expect about 31 or 32 percent of Hispanics to vote for Prezdint Dumbass. Dumbass needs more than that.
