11. Bueller? Bueller? (that was Ben Steins 15 min of fame)
The stint with Nixon was an obscure wonk gig, the game show was third-tier network basic-cable filler. The brilliant performance as the excruciatingly dull teacher in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" was the apogee of fame for Mr. Stein.

He does have a new book out in which he argues for right-wing positions. Look for it on the remainder table with the "now only $4.99" sticker any day now.

6. What amazes me is CBS asking Ben Stein for his views.
Who really gives a drizzly shit about what this bonehead thinks?

Does he have a constituency? Does he speak with authority or inside knowledge? Does he even still have that stupid show of his?

12. Ben Whine!? Bwah! You forgot Poland...er, "Amerika..."
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 01:16 PM by onager
Thanks for the topic. This self-righteous, zero-talent asswipe has been annoying me for years. Like me, he lives in L.A.

Two of my favorite Ben Whine things:

1. He once wrote a column about how his "assistant," some rich young Repub gal, got mad and wrecked the new Alfa-Romeo her Daddy had bought her. The Letters to the Editor, mostly written by Los Angelenos who have trouble buying their kids monthly bus passes let alone Italian sports cars, unanimously said: "Serves her right."

Clueless to the end, Whine wrote a rebuttal column in which he was shocked at how "mean" his readers were about the unfortunate young woman.

2. Ever seen "Amerika," the TV mini-series Ben Whine wrote and produced in the Reagan Era?

Oh, what a hoot! It makes "Red Dawn" look like "Citizen Kane!"

It was so bad it might not even be available on DVD.

EVERY feverish right-wing wet dream is featured in this POS. Lib'rul schooteachers who work for the UN! Dastardly UN/Russian troops taking over America!

If you can find it, make some popcorn and get ready for a Laff Riot!
