Kerry post-Osama uptick explained by Karl Rove (not a gag)
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 10:00 AM by troublemaker
NRO's Kerryspot isn't some guy rambling, it's top level Bush campaign spin for the mid-level Republican cannon fodder.

Here's how they explain Kerry's good Friday polling:
WHY DID KERRY DO WELL IN FRIDAY NIGHT POLLS? <10/30 07:28 PM>

Just heard from a well-connected Washington Republican studying the polls intensely. He said he wasn’t surprised by the reports that polls conducted Friday night had Kerry surging.

Weekends are always bad for us. It's common to see Kerry do well on Friday and Saturday nights. The weekends look good for kerry and then turn back to about +3 for us when weekend is washed out. I think you'll see the same thing in tomorrow's tracking polls.

My guess: Are GOP voters not answering phones because they're out at high school football games?

Yeah, high school football games... that's the ticket! I would suggest they were too fucking embarassed to answer their phones because public enemy number one was all over TV looking like he had spent the last two years at Club Med, but high school football's a good explanation too.

2. Is this even true?
Or is it propaganda, like "liberals always win the newspaper endorsements" lie?

4. Bush creamed Gore in newspaper endorsements.
He got many more than Gore did.

5. Aha! But that was before high school football season started...
it's all falling into place... "Our voters were too busy instilling solid American values in their children and baking cookies for the troops to answer the phone"

6. Sorry KKKarl, but if all the repubs are at weekend football games
how does that balance all the dems who are not answering polls because they are at work at the 2nd and 3rd jobs. I've only been at home on a Friday evening once in three years, when I was sick. My p/t job doesn't even keep me home on holidays.

I think you need to do a little better than that!

LOL!!!

7. Better than what I'd expect him to say.
As in "the terrorists want Kerry and people are getting scared into voting for him!"
