Fox News Poll - Freeper Meltdown/Disbelief =]
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1263597/posts

ok...i know this is like the 1000th freeper meltdown thread, but i still love watching them squirm =]

To: JessieHelmsJr

Republicnas always poll bad on weekends. We've known this. Everyone needs to calm down.

Shrum is trying to get off of the topic of terrorism. Wonder why?

GOTV

---
To: KeatsforFirstDog
My guess from looking at all these internals is that they can't catch conservative men on Fridays and Saturdays

We are either out stimulating the economy with our families or working 80 hours in our small businesses.

Campaigning also gets us out of the house.

---
But didn't someone tell me that the last Fox poll should be regarded as really reliable? When's that one? Is this it?

I'll say again: I pray God gives America what we need in a leader (between the two), not what we deserve.

Dan

Didn't Zogby have Chimpy up by like SEVEN points last Saturday?

"We are . . . out stimulating the economy with our families . . ."

8. Weekend polls DO tend to skew Democrat
Look at Rasmussen for instance. If you track back, Shrub clearly dips on the weekends and recovers during the week. It's a strange polling pattern, but a true one. I bet someone has written about it.

14. but why does it make them any less reliable?
Perhaps democrats are out WORKING during the week, and weekend polls are more accurate.

oh wait.. I noticed you don't answer questions. You just drop right-wing talking points.

at least 2 weeks in a row. perhaps it depends on methods.

46. I always thought weekends skewed rethug while the Nascar dads
and the football fans (overwhelmingly rethug) set around in front of tv answering phones and the Dems went out and had picnics with family, go bicycling and to the park, wash their cars, etc.

15. You Forgot The NASCAR Races
C'mon...we're eating this stuff up...they can't dish it out fast enough. This is the true definition of revenge is a dish best served cold.

Maybe I'm in a fool's paradise at the moment...and a different reality will hit on Tuesday, but in the interim, this is a very nice place to be. Far better than I've felt this close to any close election in my life.

As a small business owner who started up and prospered in the 90's and has seen 4 years of regression and depression, where the hell are they stimulating the economy?

How any small business owner can support a regime that is so owned by the largest anti-competitive corporations is off my radar.

Cheers and welcome to DU!

I'm with you on bafflement that small business people think repuke regimes, especially this one, are good for them.

they have been trained to regurgitate that talking point LIE whenever Karl Rove rings a bell. Idiots. Worshiping their rapists.

33. I Have A Feeling We're Talking The Same Business
These were the guys in high school who couldn't get a date and had the personality of a prune. All they had was selfish paranoia that Rove has honed into a fine-edged sword.

Here's hoping you've weathered and hope and help is on the way. I lucked out, I sold in '99...haven't been able to find a worthwhile investment since.

Cheers!

10. My favorite is
"We are either out stimulating the economy with our families or working 80 hours in our small businesses."

Stimulating the economy = attending gun shows, wrestling and tractor pulls. Working 80 hours in our small businesses = getting paid to canvas and rip down Kerry posters.

12. There may be another explanation...
... not being able to catch "conservative men on Fridays and Saturdays."

They may be out playing golf with their cronies.

I'll bet a commonly heard remark on Wednesday in many a CEO's office: "Have a nice weekend."

25. True -- 'Have a nice weekend' doesn't mean much for me, or
any of my co-workers, because the weekend is just a continuation of the week at a different job.

One thing * is right about. There have been millions of jobs created -- 2nd jobs needed to compensate for the flat and declining pay of the workers' 1st jobs.

Seriously, I am a state employee and I don't know a single person below section head level who does not have a 2nd job. How many jobs would be available for the unemployed if we were paid a living wage for our 1st job?

43. That seems so silly to me
It's been my experience that Republicans disproportionately have 9-5 M-F jobs, and Democrats disproportionately have to work odd shifts on ALL days, and have their "weekend" on non-consecutive days in the middle of the "work week."

If anyone's MORE likely to be home on weekends it's REPUBLICANS.
