Another Disappointing Sports Figure
campainging for the Shrub. I saw a shot of Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Tice on stage with Bush this morning.

3. How fucking sick! Why oh why do these sport people get involve
with junior? The coach can't be too smart, sort of like Bud Grant.

The Vikings just lost a fan.

4. Krieger: Oddly, politics welcome in NFL
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 08:27 AM by Jon8503
USA Today had an article & it seems that the nfl owners & majority of players are over on the repuke side for whatever the hell reason.

The Chiefs even had Bush at their training camp. Guess it is all about the money. Wonder if these players wonder how much Bush helps their families & those from where they came.

Picture--John Kerry might have Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, but President Bush has Mike Shanahan and John Lynch.

Considering Colorado is a swing state in the November election and California is not, you have to give the president points for targeting his celebrity endorsers more effectively.

But talk about strange bedfellows. When did politics and sports get all tangled up like this?

Not counting John Rocker, I mean.

Seems like it was just the other day sports figures ran from political questions as if they contained anthrax, afraid of offending somebody, exposing their ignorance, or both.

5. Tice made it clear he's undecided
I have no doubt he's probably going to vote for Shrub, but his public comments before the introduction of the joke were that he was undecided.

Tice is looking for a new contract and Minnesota's owner Red McCombs(a scumbag used car salesman from Texas) is a big Dubya backer.

9. Why do people get so upset about these things
We didn't get upset when the Boss endorsed our guy, or when Babs,DiCaprio,Sheen,Reiner,Edie Falco,Dixie Chicks,Belzer,Maher, Sl-Imus,Stern,Whoopie,Glenn Close,Carol King, Devito, Andy Griffith,Asner and the other thousand celebrities endorsed our guy. If we were going by big name people Kerry would lead 1000-100.
