25. No way was that accidental.
That he can actually rap in live performance has never really been in dispute, has it? He wasn't even trying to fool anyone.

First and foremost, Marshall has an album to sell, and just in case a timely and incendiary song wasn't enough, why not take Ashlee's little gift to build on and get even more media attention. If the song's message gets covered too, all the better AFAIC.

5. Hell, last time he was on
He was singing his latest hit, and he was somehow able to sing both lead and back-up vocals in it like he did in the studio. That's pretty damn talented! :)

10. Read what I posted
Last time he was on, the song he sang had his voice as both lead and back-up vocals like he does in some of his songs. I like Marshall for the most part, and I definitely like Mosh, but if he's making fun of Ashlee, he needs to look at himself first.

21. It's just studio magic. His engineer can record a loop and play it
back on cue, and he can appear to sing two parts...

The 'VOTE' sign at the end was cool!

I wish they had shown the audience. I like to imagine them on their feet during this song.

12. Seems like both-his own voice is playing back
and he's rapping live. Another mic caught his voice for a second, slightly off from the one on playback. Makes sense, since his voice echos in the song.

29. Lip Syncing.Ashlee still has me laughing with the Milly Vanilly moment
I could care less. Why wont these artists hold up signs that instead of a generic "VOTE" say "VOTE FOR KERRY" Then I'd be more impressed with Shady.

11. Great song
Scrutinize every word, memorize every line
I spit it once, refuel, reenergize, and rewind
I give sight to the blind, mind sight through the mind
I ostracize my right to express when I feel it's time
It's just all in your mind, what you interpret it as
I say to fight you take it as I知 gonna whip someone's ass
If you don't understand don't even bother to ask
A father who has grown up with a fatherless past
Who has blown up now to rap phenomenon that has
Or at least shows no difficulty multi task
And juggling both, perhaps mastered his craft slash
Entrepreneur who has held long too few more rap acts
Who has had a few obstacles thrown his way through the last half
Of his career typical manure moving past that
Mister kiss his ass crack, he's a class act
Rubber band man, yea he just snaps back

Come along, follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark, that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength,
Come with me, and I won't stear you wrong
Put your faith and your trust as I guide us through the fog
Till the light, at the end, of the tunnel, we gonna fight,
We gonna charge, we gonna stomp, we gonna march through the swamp
We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors

To the people up top, on the side and the middle,
Come together, let's all bomb and swamp just a little
Just let it gradually build, from the front to the back
All you can see is a sea of people, some white and some black
Don't matter what color, all that matters is we gathered together
To celebrate for the same cause, no matter the weather
If it rains let it rain, yea the wetter the better
They ain't gonna stop us, they can't, we're stronger now more then ever,
They tell us no we say yea, they tell us stop we say go,
Rebel with a rebel yell, raise hell we gonna let em know
Stomp, push up, mush, fuck Bush, until they bring our troops home come on just . . .

We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors, come on

Imagine it pouring, it's raining down on us,
Mosh pits outside the oval office
Someone's trying to tell us something, maybe this is God just saying
we're responsible for this monster, this coward, that we have empowered
This is Bin Laden, look at his head nodding,
How could we allow something like this, Without pumping our fist
Now this is our, final hour
Let me be the voice, and your strength, and your choice
Let me simplify the rhyme, just to amplify the noise
Try to amplify the times it, and multiply it by six
Teen million people are equal of this high pitch
Maybe we can reach Al Quaida through my speech
Let the President answer on high anarchy
Strap him with AK-47, let him go
Fight his own war, let him impress daddy that way
No more blood for oil, we got our own battles to fight on our soil
No more psychological warfare to trick us to think that we ain't loyal
If we don't serve our own country we're patronizing a hero
Look in his eyes, it's all lies, the stars and stripes
They've been swiped, washed out and wiped,
And Replaced with his own face, mosh now or die
If I get sniped tonight you'll know why, because I told you to fight

So come along, follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark, that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength,
Come with me, and I won't stear you wrong
Put your faith and your trust as I guide us through the fog
Till the light, at the end, of the tunnel, we gonna fight,
We gonna charge, we gonna stomp, we gonna march through the swamp
We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors

15. They had him say "Push Bush"* instead of "F*ck Bush"*
plus they cut out his closing statement "as we disarm this weapon of mass destruction that we call our President, for the present...", but I don't think there was any doubt as to whom he was refering to. BIG audience response!

16. I know it's a song that
puts chimpy in his place, but I would hardly call this a great song! You get all excited about the 'fuck Bush' part, but the rest is just incoherent drivel . . . like most rap it. I just don't like rap.

18. A lot of rap music
is by far more lyrically advanced than pop. If you care about meter or innovative rhyme, rap is hardly incoherent drivel.

I agree, it doesn't look like much when you just read the lyrics, but you should hear it. It's powerful.

23. There's Rap That Says Something Vs. Rap That Exploits
Mr. Mathers has done the former more than the later...still a mysogyist and overall asshole, but at least he's speaking some substance for once.

I kinda chuckle when I catch myself being my own parent when it comes to judging the music others listen to...especially the grunge-metal my son is into, but then I catch myself and take a moment to see if what's there that has his or others interest.

I'm just glad to see Eminem and so many other musicians are on the same side of the war issue and against this regime...it's been great to see music come alive as a positive agent of change again for the first time since the Punk days of the late 70's.

Cheers!

26. I'm not a rap fan
but with like any form of expression, 90% is crap but the rest is good to great. This in that last 10%. Watch the video, its not perfect but its powerful stuff.

Anything that exposes Bush for the fraud that he is GREAT in my book.

3 days to go...

I'm no spring chicken, but this is some outstanding artistry. Break it up a little, envision it, it's poetry, it's powerful. If you haven't watched the video, you should.
