13. McCain has to introduce * at a rally...
...and has great trouble doing so, despite bashing his head repeatedly and running back to his trailer and screaming obscenities. His last trip to the trailer, he has flashbacks of Nam to the tune of the Doors' "The End.":D:D:D

brief summary....
maybe someone else can add some details...

McCain in a trailer/dressing room rehearsing his intro to Chimp's speech...It seemed like real lines from McCain--only he can't bring himself to say them sincerely. Bashes his head against the wall. Goes out onto stage and again can't really deliver his lines, because he obviously doesn't believe them. He leaves the podium, Chimp steps up and says "mixed messages"....no response from crowd...Chimp says "9/11", crowds applauds. McCain back in trailer doing an apocalypse now insanity scene with the Doors "This is the End" as ther soundtrack.

17. I'll try
Saturday TV Funhouse cartoon - uses and manipulates actual soundtracks and does a cartoon showing ridiculous stuff going on. In this case, it was McCain doing a campaign trail appearance with Shrub with glowing words for Shrub. He is first practicing the script in his trailer and really getting more and more worked up - even his dog is pissed off as he goes through it. Then he goes out on stage and cannot do it without going back into the trailer to scream, bang his head, have flashbacks to Vietnam, etc.

I am sure others can summarize better. You just needed to see it.

19. Laughing, with your kind of graphic sig file seems really...well, tactless
...sort of self defeating, or a mockery....

PS: I like your graphics - but "OMG that was TOO funny!!" over a grieving widower undercuts one argument or the other

18. high and sly comedy.
the way the cultural icon of "willard" from A. N. was stamped onto nam vet mccain was so damned funny and effective for bringing the metaphor to life that bush is an idiot. you really had to know things about american culture to get at what the artist was doing.

the feeling one got at seeing the way the artist went about it was like the glee one finds at watching the tumblers on a lock all synchronize.

good stuff.

11. Cheers To Robert Smigel!!!
To anyone who hasn't seen Apolcolypse Now you missed a lot in this, but it was great stuff.

The Funhouse stuff is the ONLY good thing left on this once cutting edge show.

Between this stuff and Triumph, this dude cuts with one big knife.

That was really funny. I'm sure McCain probably feels that way too. Too bad he has sold his soul to the devil Bush.

15. When he did the Martin Sheen karate scene, and smeared the
blood from the broken mirror on his face, I almost fell off my chair. Then the Vietnamese faces in his flashback turned into Dick Cheney and -- well, didn't catch who the other politico was -- and melted into newspaper headlines saying "2008"
