Why? I dissed the Coultergueist. I suggested that her hometown (also mine) doesn't support her and thinks she's tacky. That's it. I've been posting there for a couple of weeks, constantly, though subtly dissing those idiots. No problem until I put lil annie in her place. What a relief to be booted from that cesspool.

that I seriously considered contacting the Southern Poverty Law Center. They track hate groups. I suppose Freepers aren't quite organized enough to be considered a hate group. But many of the sentiments expressed there are so unbelievably loathsome, I feel they should be monitored by someone.

Seriously though we have a lot of healing to do...I wish there was a site for dem/rep dialogue. I want to reach through the fear and hate and bring them some understanding.
They are so freaked out about the preselected wedge issues, we would agree on substantial issues in principle and that would lead us to healing.
It's work we have to do eventually, sooner better than later.

We do have a lot of healing to do. And heaven knows, I didn't help iin that regard. In real life, I do try. I have friends and relatives who I love and respect who are pro-bush, but they're nothing like the vast majority of frreepers. I know DU has it's share of extremists and even haters, but nothing like the numbers over on FreeRepublic.
