Does anyone remember when President Clinton was addressing the nation, and his teleprompter had the wrong speech displayed on it for an entire 9 minute period?

President Clinton didn't flinch. He didn't ask anyone to go fix the teleprompter. He had no speech in front of him - - nothing. But just continued on without his speech for 9 minutes.. until someone finally noticed the error and corrected it while he spoke.

With -0- notes, he spoke from the heart. The incredible thing was that no one -- not the American public, not the media, ***NO ONE*** knew the incident had occurred. It was accepted as just another awesome speech by an awesome president.

After the media was told about it, and it was news the next day.. everyone was shocked. The president didn't stumble one iota, he was his usual brilliant self. So it was a shocker to people when they heard this happened.

Now.... :think: Think about a presidential address to the nation with the same thing occurring with Bush. Nine full minutes of the chimp with no notes.

Would he pull it off without a hitch? :silly: No way.

It was such a pleasure to hear and watch him stump for Kerry. I looked for pics of Chelsea making her speech, but none posted on the Yahoo slides so far. ONly one pic of the two Bush skanks dressed in bordello costumes and not worth the effort.

When he was first elected, my grandmother in Germany commented on the similarities. Kennedy is beloved in Germany to this day - but then, so is Clinton. :)
