I was at our usual Saturday morning volunteer meeting and an elderly lady walked in seeking assistance.
The husband of her dear friend had just been taken to the hospital late on Friday. They are so determined to vote for John Kerry that they sent their friend to find out if it was too late to get absentee ballots.
As it happened the deadline here in Ohio was noon today, but this was 10:45 AM already. We scrounged through our piles of papers and found the absentee applications, helped her fill them out so that all she had to do was get them signed. WE called the BOE for their FAX number and told her to ask a nurse for assistance in faxing the apps over to BOE. She left with a little over an hour to go till the deadline. I hope she made it!
That is the determination I'm seeing everyday here in Ohio from the old, the young and everyone in between.
John Kerry, Ohio has your back!
