He's got an Ohio rally tonight. Is he going tomorrow, or was that canceled? I thought it was a deperate move on their part. Certainly looks like they are grasping to send Cheney all the way to Hawaii right before the election.

Sunday Cheney does rallies in Swanton, OH at 9:00 am and Romulus, MI at 10:50 am, a 72-hour kickoff event in Fort Dodge, IA at 3:05 pm and does a rally in Los Lunas, NM at 6:55 pm.

6. Just to fill everyone in on this...

Yes, Cheney is going to Hawaii. But it's a SECRET trip, you see. The campaign didn't want this to be public knowledge, so they're keeping it on low radar, but a handful of intrepid journalists have tripped the switch and word is leaking out. Here's the deal:

The Bush campaign hopes we will all show understanding and forebearance regarding the Vice President's relationship with Don Ho. This is, after all, 2004, and an educated populace should have enlightened views on this sort of thing. And who are we to speak disparagingly of two people who want to have a little fling?

For his part, Don Ho is avoiding all interviews, although I'm sure the National Enquirer has offered him a boatload of cash for an exclusive. Now that's discipline.

In the long view, Mary Cheney at last has the positive reinforccement she has always needed from her dad, and frankly, that's a good thing.

I say we get behind the Vice President and Don Ho and wish them well in their little undisclosed Hawaiian bunkier.
