I was working late, so I couldn't post my thoughts on the OBL tape. But I saw the deflation on this board and I was troubled.
What kind of movement can let the news of OBL derail the momentum of their camaign? Why are we deflated? Are we afraid that the country s going to be scared and rally behind Bush? Nonsense.
If the OBL video can sway some people, the truth of the matter is they were never with Kerry anyways. But, I don't think that is going to happen.
Americans are stronger, smarter and tougher than we give them credit for. And they don't like being told how to vote or think. I think politically, this is going to soldifiy the electorate for both sides. No one is going to change now because they will feel like OBL changed their way to vote. Not going to happen. Americans are stronger than us "smart people" give them credit for. The big reason repubs are successful is they draw from this strength.
The big problem of the democratic party is we don't have faith in our neighbors.
Well let me say, I have faith in all of you. I don't know if Kerry will win the election, but I do know this, our WAY IS BETTER. I have confidence in that. I don't hate GWB or the republicans. I don't think they are greedy corporate scoundrels, and I don't think they are facsists. They are concerned about American like us. But the way they want to run it is wrong. We have a better way of doing things because our ideas are better, our methods are better and our vision of America is better. We have tried, for too long, to bring a fury of the left to match the fury of the right. Anger and emotion are dangerous things. When you are angry you don't listen, and that is the problem with this country.
I don't belive we can match their anger. What we must do is say why we are better, and why Americans should vote for Kerry.
Have a nice weekend and everyone please stop the micromanaging.
