5. OBL scares me in a more abstract sense

but shrub is a bigger threat to my well-being on a daily basis.

OBL is a threat, but the chance that I will be killed in a terrorist attack is MUCH less than the chances of dying in any number of other ways (car accident, for instance).

shrub is a threat to my prosperity, my health, my education and my future, and those of my family and friends, on a daily basis. Additionally, the simple fact that his actions have actually increased the chances of additional terrorist attacks makes him that much more dangerous. Therefore, I suppose in that sense, he is the bigger threat.

We get attacked and loose 3,000 lives and Bush decides to sacrifice a few thousand more American soldiers to death and dismemberment and kill off 100,000 foreign nationals for good measure in an unrelated country.

does... that's the thing. All this talk of "taking it to them" -- please understand, the LAST thing I would want is for more American civilians to die. But how am I supposed to feel good that instead of americans -- it's Iraqis -- and 30 TIMES the number of iraqis who have died than died in 9/11.

I am NOT NOT NOT minimizing the incredible loss of 9/11. I am saying -- imagine the magnitude of their loss.

How can we possibly be ok with "taking it to them" -- at this cost?

Why instead, don't we just go get HIM??
